FYI: If you owned LH, Stardock is offering a 50% discount. That did it for me. Played a couple of hours last night & I really like it. Not sure how I feel about the timer. BTW...The offer came via an e-mail.

Don't worry about the doomsday counter, think of it as another resource that gets spent as time goes on. You can "earn" or "buy" more as the game goes on in terms of quests, buildings, or spells.
This game is beautiful. One of my favorites from Stardock yet. Pick it up, folks! You won't be disappointed
I have LH as well, but I think I was given it as a compensation for Elemental (I was an early dropper), and I have been known to criticize the series, so I was not offered any such thing. I don't mind, though, I was given enough free stuff from Stardock, based on my Elemental purchase.
