I need some help with Fenses. I have Fenses 2.2 and I don't like it, it is confusing and won't allow me to make my own fenses. I had Stardock Fenses Pro 1.10.419.0 and it is on my download list, I do not have a serial number for it. So, what serial number do I use. If I have to purchase it over again, then I will as it is easy for me to make fenses and organize my folders on my Desktop. I hope someone can help. I am not so young anymore, but I'm old either. Thank you and God bless.
Don't know what OS you're running, but Fences Pro isn't any good on Windows 10.
If you are an ObjectDesktop subscriber, you use the ObjectDesktop serial shown on your downloads page when you sign in to the Stardock store to activate.
Fences 2.13 works fine for me on Win 8.1 and Win 10 and allows me to make my own fences. As far as I can tell, there is no Fences 2.2.
Latest version is 2.13.
I don't have Windows 8 or Windows 10, have heard some back things about Windows 10 and my wife has Windows 8 and it is a nightmare for her. She had Windows 7, but the computer she bought has Windows 8, and today she even got locked out of her computer. She called Microsoft and they send her a password, but it wasn't accepted. I had never heard of anyone getting locked out of their own computer, think that is ridiculous. Now, she will have call them again and wait another 4 hours for a message. Thanks for the info about ObjectDesktop. I am subscribed and will try and see if that serial number will work. I appreciate you taking the time to reply and to help me. I am every so grateful. Like I said I have icons outside of my Fenses and they won't go into one when I try and move them. Never had that problem before, until I installed the Fenses 2.2 God bless you Redneck Dude. Actually, I'm a redneck too. Later.

Fences 1 and Pro versions do not work on Win8/10.
Fences 2 is currently at version 2.13. Are you confusing Fences 2 with ObjectDock? Which is currently at version 2.20.
I know that Fences and Object Dock are two different applications. The previous responder just mentioned that ObjectDesktop serial number is the number I use for Fences. I have both versions of Fenses, The 2.13 and the earlier one, as well as the Pro version. Right now I don't have any them installed because none of them will allow me to create my own Fences and put my icons in which Fence I want them in. I have been using Fences for a lot of years. I don't why they have to upgrade a product that is working just great to another version. I guess to make more money. Thanks.
2.13 WILL allow you to make your own fences. If it isn't letting you, you need to submit a support ticket.

Thanks, I will do just that.
Do you perhaps have software that may be interfering with Fences? 360 Internet Security perhaps?
No, that's not a problem. The problem is me I guess. I have installed the Fences version 2.2, and though it says that I can create my own Fences and tells me how to do that, I do what it says, but the Fence doesn't get created on my desktop. It says to create a rectangle using my left mouse and that's what I did, but the Fence didn't create. I am just going to go it without Fences, maybe until a new version comes out. Thanks to everyone who offered help. I do appreciate it, but I am tired of fighting with it. God bless. Steve Politte (Po-leet) Yes, it's a French name. LOL
Firstly, there is no Fences 2.2.
If you draw a box on your desktop, you should see a button pop up saying create fence here. You'll need to click that button to create the fence, then name it.
That's what I do, except no box opens up and says anything about anything. I see the box I make it and when I let go of my cusor, the box is gone. Sorry about the Fences 2.2, that was just my best guess. I was using the latest one. Thanks. Later.
Well then, as The Gear said, you probably have software installed that is interfering with Fences. The support ticket should get you help. Good luck, man!
I think that you might very well be right. Another program is interfering with the Fences. I will try to find out which program, which programs were installed before I lost Fences. If that doesn't work, then I will submit a support ticket. Thanks again.
