Everyone and their aunts are per-ordering Fallout 4. I haven't - as I have never per-ordered a Bethesda game before. Based on past experience, where is the best place to place a pre order (of FO4) to get earliest fulfillment? From Beth's web store directly? Steam? etc.
I haven't pre-ordered it yet either. I would probably pre-order on Steam, unless you can get bonuses through other sellers, but still obtain the key on Steam. Steam will most likely have the earliest fulfillment, as in, release day you already have it pre-downloaded and it unlocks. Similar to how GTA5 was released. You were able to download it a week beforehand, so on release, after the game is unlocked and files checked, you can play.
Thanks Gear. As much as I like steam, I also like to get the DVD, just in case.
GameStop is always good for physical copies. They let you put money down and pay it off over time if you want as well so long as you're ready to pay it off when you come in to pick it up on release.
Pre ordering in a digital-age is for fools.
