The 1.2 update now includes 3D printing support for ships created in the Galactic Civilizations III ship designer. Also included in this update is map sharing in Steam Workshop so you can share and download custom maps made by other players, as well as new DLC for galaxy-wide Mega Events.
We’ve also been working on other various AI improvements and bug fixes. You can see the full list of changes here: https://forums.galciv3.com/469866
PLUS! Register Galactic Civilizations III in-game with the Stardock Games service and receive a free ship parts DLC pack, in addition to an online profile and leaderboard system.
I got the "Registration Gift DLC" automatically as a founder, does this mean I don't have to register to actually unlock the parts? I did end up registering anyway but i was just curious, thanks.
Yep, i am curious too
Btw, cant`t fill in my email addy ingame, no chance to write the "@"
Elite founders get the Registration DLC (which are more ship parts) automatically without registering, yes.
We elite founders get everything, period, cause you know, we're elite, and stuff, can I fit more comma's in here?
You could, maybe, if you tried, being, well, elite and all, you know.
I saw Pauls,Kirsten and Christines dev stream it was very nice once the kinks were ironed out Adam better watchout! lol only j/k
It is good to be a founder, and elite.
Use the ascii code: keep the ALT button pressed and intert 064 on the num pad, worked for me!
Founder's Elite don't have to register, but we encourage it.
Mine doesn't pop up and ask me to register. Can it be triggered manually? I *may* have already done it... not sure though. My game doesn't appear to have updated, though I had already downloaded the 1.2 opt-in a couple of days earlier.
There is a button in the bottom right corner of the main screen to register. I believe it goes away once you do register.
Found the problem - my mod includes changes to the UI text files (changing 'weeks' to 'months'). It appears that the non-presence of the register entry on 1.2 caused it to not fire the pop-up. Now registered
Where is this Ship Parts DLC located? I have looked and I cannot find it. Also once I close the game down and restart it it again asks for registration. Thanks
From another thread:
When you start GC3 on the start menu there should be a get reward tab click it and then go to your email inbox there will be a email from stardock with a code copy it! come out of everything and go on your steam library page click on add game then use a code paste the code in and voila! you get the DLC activated if you've already downloaded it?
Just change the UI text to month and months and that's it?
Did you leave the mod in after you registered? I don't want problems, but I would like to change to months.
How i use the GC3 Registration Gift DLC ?
Well On My slow PC it pops up for a few seconds then goes away so on faster systems it my not show up. If it is not there I say you had register.
Reportedly it contains additional ship parts that you can use in the ship designer. If you're asking how you get it, read the post 2 above yours.
Every since I downloaded the update, none of my own mods and ship designs show up in game. The are still the same place they were before the update, completely untouched as far as I can tell, but they don't seem to work. The mods are all custom factions with a FactionDefs, PlanetDefs, StarDefs, and StarSystemDefs files each. All custom maps as well as factions and ship designs downloaded from Steam Worshop still work. Does anyone know how I can get them working again?
Did you remember to re-check the "allow mods" option? The update clears it...
That was it, thank you.
