1. Pragmatic Ideology Cautious didn't give me any ships.
2. Sometimes when I double click on a docked ship, it doesn't eject. I have to click the ship then choose Eject.
3. Anomalies that are supposed to give me ships (Gunboats, etc) don't seem to work. Survey and Colony ships do.
4. Clicking on a Starbase, then clicking Rally Point, trying to go to the Rally Point tab doesn't always work. Sometimes you have to click one of the other tabs first, before Rally Point will work.
5. Enemy planets' colony capitals are sometimes build on a tile with an adjacency bonus.
6. Ship Designer ships are totally broken if they are built. Some parts are extremly huge, others are tiny.
I managed to somehow design a ship that had 120+ mass in a 110 hull? it also had elerium weapons, but I managed to build lots of them until I was like -8 elerium.
7. Playing on a Huge map, I somehow "encountered" the Altairans and the Drengin without ever meeting one of their ships, or planets. I checked to make sure that there were absolutely none of their survey or scout ships in any of my sensor ranges.
8. The same map as 7, the Altairans and Drengin keep warning me off from their anomalies and such even though I am no where near their ZoC.
Question: Do the console codes for fow or fowtrans keep you from being added to the metaverse? I use those to check things (like the above) and I don't want to get locked out of leaderboards
I have dozens of personal ship designs and I have no issues with scaling. I have not tried the double click eject since I always just select the colony or transport and click at the end of the destination and it ejects with a 'how much pop do you want' window. Anomalies are giving me both colony, and military ships, I have anomalies set to common.
I encountered the size issue along with being able to build without resource. Exit game, verify the cache/files and restart. You may have some files that need to be 'reacquired'. I have since not been able to build more than I have if resource dependent.
I am 208 turns into an Insane map fresh into 1.0.
Thalans did not expand, killed em. I put in a ticket.
So far that bug was it. Rest of empires are building colonizers and military ships as needed. There is currently a protracted war between my Allies the Altarians and the Krynn. The Altarians were losing a bit so I 'gave' them 13 Battleaxes I parked on their border, 5k in cash and some happiness tech.
I love brokering war! Oh and I am going to enter the war aiding the Altarians but my primary fleets are still 20 turns away.
I have put in roughly 13 hours per day since Friday and not showing signs of stopping.
Again I feel the 'uncommon' amount setting when applied to habitable planets is a bit too much, while rare is just perfect. Uncommon needs a slice or two lower in the amount it grants.
Sorry I hijacked your bugs thread Rhsara....
That is not a problem. Use the "scale" slider.
No worries, bugs are bugs!
10. Playing on an INSANE map, I can't get any Durantium or Elerium to spawn. I did fowtrans to be sure, and there is literally none in the entire galaxy. Tried it 3 times.
Edit: I can't get Durantium or Elerium to spawn on any size galaxy now. I'm going to make a new thread for this issue, as it seems to be a big one.
Thanks guys for your answers! The point about the ship scale is, in the editor the ships look perfect, but if i built them on the map ... for example one wing is 5 times bigger than the corpus of the ship. I never designed it that way and in the editor you can't see a problem. So please explain how to "scale" right.
I even got proof, look at the sign part:
things i have noticed so far:
- If a battle takes a while to load, they start before they are done loading, and you get a huge bunch of instant sped up weapons fire right at the start.
- i cannot see my own percentage of votes when a UP vote comes up, add mouse over tooltip to the bar on the right or something. (i know i can see it in diplomacy screen, but that is useless when the vote comes up)
- defending fleets do not stay near starbases/shipyards they are defending. I am sure this is by design but it's silly. (similarly ships that can outrange a starbase move into its range, but i am ok with that to give the starbase a fighting chance)
-traders be crazy
-graphs be crazy
-sometimes part of the tech tree are grey isntead of colored. fixes itself when you re-open the window. noticed this once or twice when re-loading the game (after a crash), and once at random.
-random weird glitch in my border. i have two monitors so i alt tab a lot and when i play the game + watch twitch at the same time my PC isnt happy with it, so i blame it on that.
Can confirm 3 constructor Ideology bug, got it last night.Only had a custom constructor type - not called constructor, but rather "Engineer". I'm guessing it looks for the name rather than the ships function, so it couldn't create any free constructors for me.
Moved to support.
I might be wrong on this but I think durantium can only appear in asteroids and elerium only appear in one of the nebula types...perhaps you have asteroids and nebulas turned off?
Bug -- you can have ships go outside their range by a tile or 2 if you are on the edge of their range and give them a move order to another tile on the edge of their range that requires them to "go around" an obstacle...also can occur if the "edge" has an angle in it that you order the ship to cross....
Bug -- Unless I'm mistaken, normal techs appear in the tech tree with sharp corners while specialization techs appear with rounded corners....this sometimes gets mixed up though, 2 of the 3 specialization techs have rounded while one has sharp, and a nearby normal tech will have rounded....so far have only seen it after loading a save...
Bug -- I built an economic starbase and put the first "factory" upgrade on it with a 2nd constructor....later on I put the second "factory" upgrade on it, saved the game, and loaded it later...the 2nd "factory" upgrade was still on the starbase (and I could build the 3rd) but the 1st "factory" upgrade (as well as its bonuses) were gone...I had a few other modules on it, mainly research and defense, none of those were affected...
Durantium/Elerium not showing up wasn't a bug--I didn't know they were linked to asteroids and nebulae, and had those set to None.
