Glorious, love it. Did everything I could to get the attention of the devs on this one, as not just me but several other ppl have the same issue, for various reasons. I myself use a laptop with no mmb functionality, and I am often in cramped spaces on the road, etc, so don't get to use a mouse.
on 2 seperate streams I asked the question if MMB could be added, and twice the devs responded with that they'll look into it... look into it...Second time they said that those refinements will be added on release...
Well.. it's released and still none of that additional stuff...
I then wrote a post on here, and got several confirmations that the devs would be adding additional input commands yada yada and add these refinements.
Thanks guys. A simple addition that several requested that would of been easy to add goes ignored all the while being coaxed and re assured by founders and devs alike.. I feel hoodwinked.
I'm sorry this is an issue for you, but you know they have a lot of other things on their to do list besides your problem. Things take time, time costs money, and they have to prioritize. If they committed to doing it I'm sure it's on the to do list as they continue to work through all the (many many many) outstanding issues. Asking for an update on when this will get implemented would have been more constructive than all the dramatics in your post, it comes across as rather entitled.
Priorities man.
I feel as though in this rare case, I am right in feeling entitled. Only because I was told twice by the devs, and numerous other founders that it was going to be put in the final build, and it wasn't. One of the biggest selling points of the game, for me at least is the ship designer, which I now cannot use very effectively, and isn't very fun anymore if I can't get a good look at the ship I'm designing from all angles.
With that being said, being a programmer myself I know it's not hard what so ever to do either.... so.. That is also where my frustration comes from.
It doesn't mean they didn't attempt to work on it. If you are a programmer in a company then you know everything goes through QA. Things get cut at the last second because they don't work right. THe priority for them was to get the game out the door and stable.
I am not familiar with that TLA.
What is MMB?
I don't know what TLA means.
But I believe MMB stands for Middle Mouse Button.
I think there are several more keybindings that need to be done. You may want to look into some sort of utility program to bind the mmb to some other button.
TLA means Three Letter Acronym
