Okay here is the scoop i updated windows on the 17th of April rebooted computer and windows blinds has not worked since ...it keeps saying " it is not installed correctly ..and would i like to fix it " ..and of course i hit the yes button then it says windowblinds has stopped responding and that is as far as it gets ? i have tried uninstalling/re-installing to no avail ...have not tried using my normal uninstaller program revo-uninstall yet which gets every little ounce of file a program leaves because i was hoping to not have re-install all my skins but i am out of ideas ....And i tired contacting stardock support last week [on the 17th ] but i have not heard back yet from them ....So thanks in advance for idea how to fix this . And yes i did reboot after install ..even though it said down there that it did not .

Neil if you come across this here is the ticket number #IKM-983-97752
You can safely use Revo for the uninstall. Your skins are kept in Public Documents, not in Program Files. After running the last scan to look for left over files and folders, you won't see the skins listed. (Even if you did, you could just choose to not delete them.)
What you will need to do after reinstalling WindowBlinds is to open WB Config, click on the little icon at top left and select "Rebuild List." This will load all your skins back into WB's. Easy.
Thanks will give that a try a next
NOPE Wizard1956......stiil broke even using REVO......and i even disabled anti-virus [ ESET smart security ] and installed from my account instead using ODesktop and it still keeps saying it 's not installed correctly . I hope some one know how to fix this ..and i wonder whats wrong with Stardock support i have never gone this long without some answer from them......
greg2 - I'd like to suggest waiting for a response before responding to your own ticket in the future. If you do respond, it will reset your place in line, which unfortunately happened this time delaying our response. I'll be responding shortly.
sorry was not aware was only trying to edit my response....and ty for answering here
Maybe this will help:
https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/default_import/Knowledgebase/Article/View/424/0/windowblinds-states-that-windowblinds-is-not-installed-correctly-on-this-pc
You may very well need to do it again after the update even if you'd done it previously - the file has likely changed and ESET would probably know it's not the same.
Yes thank you everyone i got fixed using that link you sent Dave...but it came from Stardock support ...but thank you again everyone for all the help !!!!!
