Hey there! As many fans im looking forward to get GalCiv III. I followed the hype with the beta and im very satisfied with the new current stuff you guys are bringing in.Really thanks for all the hard work! ^^Thou, i kinda don't like the UI.. I think that, while it follows most of GalCiv concepts, it looks a bit oldschool, and kinda polutes the window a bit, with all those tables and such. So, i tried to imagine how a "Light UI" would be. Its just fan work, but if you like any ideas im happy with it! Regardless, keep kicking ass!
it looks good UI is one thing i think can always use workout of curiosity what did you have in mind with that green tile in bottom left and the meter just above it?
Thanks, i do hope they at least take an eye on this Well, green slot was saved to End Turn... It would keep blue until you have no more orders to issue, then turn to green after youre good.About the meter, well, i don't have a real idea for it right now. Firstly imagined as a quick group navigator (Ctrl+1 would light up the first slot) but that would likely never be implemented, so i abandoned it.

Oh indeed, i didn't considered this, thanks for bringing it! Guess ill dump to a yellow / cyan basis. My main concern at doing this was to give a bit more of actual clean areas in the UI, making things iconized and mouseover tooltip'd. Strategy players are used to icons and checking tooltips, so theres no need for so many boxes with written text. My top bar for resources is kinda very bad yet, thou. Im working for a second version that follow the blue glowlines that is used in most of the original UI. I'm not sure if were loosing so much by dropping the right bar, but i think that the info there is easly acessed in a separate screen, and as the game is turned based, there's no need to rush to check up for info, which makes the sidebar meaningless.While im not even dreaming to implement this in the base game, would be amazing from Stardock to release (in its due time, ofc) some basic modding tools to tinker with the UI. Anyway, thanks for the feedback !

It would be nice if the Top bar that showed turn and resources never went away. It is really annoying when flipping through the plant/ship yard screen and not know how many resources you have.

Thanks for making that. I really do like it. While the GalCiv III UI is pretty locked for release, post-release, is a different story.
That mock up looks pretty good! I really don't like the current 'giant bar on the right side' UI design.
