Just bought game from steam. Open game get to title screen just fine. I go to single player and click on tutorial and it goes to load game but it crashes with Offworld.exe has stopped working. Tried again with quick start. Game crashes with Offworld.exe has stopped working. Tried with Campaign and again Offworld.exe has stopped working. Is there a file i can upload with crash reports or something? Anyone else getting this problem and know of a fix. I have tried starting game through steam and have also tried to load it from the folder its saved into.
This happened to me too. I have tried validating files re installing nothing worked.
I have also tried running it in compatibility mode for windows 7 with no luck. I am using windows 8. My other laptop will play it on windows 7. That computer runs slow so its unplayable.
I recommend a couple things for you to try. One, the opt-in for the beta on Steam. They just released a patch to beta today that helped me, with the exact same problem. You can also run a .bat file in the game directory that runs the program in direct 3d v9 mode. I would try the beta patch first though, if it was me.
