Hello,
I apologize in advance if this topic comes up often, but I couldn't seem to find anything regarding this matter in the forums. That alone surprised me quite a bit. I doubt I can be the only one in this particular situation and even google offers little help.
Way, way, way back, I bought about 5-6 different games on stardocks old software delivery platform impulse. At some point, this part of stardock was purchased by GameStop. Here I am in 2015, wondering where the hell I am supposed to go or even what to do if I'd like to relive the classics I bought.
GameStop seems to have all together ceased their PC content delivery platform and their download links (for the content delivery app) redirect to the 'find a store' page. Perhaps for the best, since it also seems their system is not sure I even have an account with them. Asking for a reset password, went nowhere.
On this website, I could recover my old account, even log in, and see my order history taunt me with the few games I would like to play. I read somewhere in the system that instructions on what to do regarding installation or perhaps key retrieval is specified in the 'receipt'. Looking at them, I see nothing buy order details. The remaining appealing option here on stardock - my downloads - gets me to a blank screen pointing me back to my order history.
So this is the big question. What the heck am I supposed to do, to get my hands on the games I bought?
Any and all thoughts are much appreciated.
Regards,
Gazoo
For any non-Stardock titles purchased via Impulse, you'd need to contact GameStop's support if you're having any trouble finding how to retrieve them.
Thanks for the response kryo.
I found that on this page: http://www.gamestop.com/gs/pages/storefront/pc-games/gs_download_about.aspx
In pretty small print there is a link to the app, for purchases before April 2014. Link: http://www.impulsedriven.com/downloads/gamestopapp/pc
I am having issues logging in, but I'll contact support for that.
Thanks!
