Hello I am hoping to find some ship engineers with some time to help a fellow conqueror.
As a long time fan of the series I have enjoyed all the effort that goes into this game and the community is extremely devoted and first rate!
While having played for many years I have never had the time to actually sit and design with the ship editor.
Several friends and I have played tabletop strategy games such as StarFleet Battles for many years and I am hoping to help re-create that in electronic form for us as we are all separated by work, family, and distance. Perhaps GC3 is the way for us to recreate the glory days!
The following image is the basic concept I am looking for, if this seems like a project you are interested in please have at it!
If anyone is interested I could share the back story on this race if you want some ideas for design, just let me know!
Bonus points for anyone that knows where this image originally comes from!

Just one thing, the game is in beta. At any point all ships could be broken or completely lost again.
Slayan: It is the Tri-Ryche from the band Queensryche! I think the first sighting was the Empire Album (would need to double check that)
Edladner: Quite right, I did see that mentioned a couple times here in the forum prior. That won't stop me from getting some ideas and recruiting some engineers to help me refine the idea. In the mean time...I'm off to try and break the game again!
Have always been a big fan even before anyone knew of them, the symbol wasn't on the first album but was on the Rage for Order album
Perhaps I could put a price tag on the chosen design, that seemed to work for Stardock quite well.
I couldn't offer what Stardock did but perhaps $100 for the chosen design? That would cover the cost of the founder's edition.
I wonder if there are any shipyards out there itching to start designing ships again.
Hmmmm, Your ship design might be possible with the inclusion of the YOR race ship parts we are getting very soon.
I do think I can do the style ships your looking for. PM me some of your rough drafts and let me see what I can come up with.

Bleh, after i finished i checked my email and saw that you said the image is "backwards" haha. I only spent about an hour and half on it =/
Once you get the file, you'll see that the cockpit is actually fitted perfectly inside the "faceplate" kind of like a blastshield.

This design isn't finished yet. I still need to add the finer details to the ship, like antennae, computer consoles, windows, Communications tech...
