Just look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Do-RQpQ3rDI
Too many Let's Plays try to explain everything about the game. This one too. Too Slow Didn't Watch.
Your loss
Very cool. Liked everything I saw, environmental interaction, rumored resources, battle system, the general mood... Naturally it has a Shafer button too
I do agree that it's a bit slow though - thank god for 1.5x playspeed!
This looked super-impressive. This is a potential GOTY for me in 2015 if everything comes together.
Been quite a few updates since I've last played, may be time to take it for a spin again!
Thanks for the heads up.
ATG is looking good. ^^ Beautiful map, lots of cool little things and unit stacking! Hee hee.
Indeed, thanks for sharing that. I'm quite interested in seeing some of the other aspects of the game, like diplomacy and combat.
The growth and economy mechanics remind me very much of colonization, but with more strategy and less drudgery.
Thanks all, glad you enjoyed the video! And although I know watching me deliberate is just incredibly entertaining, I'll try to make sure the ones I make in the future are a little more... action-packed.
Also, happy to answer any questions you guys might have.
- Jon
Is ATG a Stardock game?
It is not, though the Stardock team has certainly been quite gracious in promoting it unofficially.
Not a game for me sadly, but i truly like the graphics, or better said art-style and the orchestral score. Well done. I might buy the game just to listen to that music, seriously.
1. Are you willing to use Kickstarter platform in the future? You are one of those Kickstarter project creators who (will) deliver (vs those who failed, like guys that made CastleStory prototype and didn't make any real progress within a year and a half), so I'm sure people will trust you again.
2. When AtG will be released?
The title music is spectacular. I often listen to it just for fun myself, and I've already heard it a million times! It was composed by Geoff Knorr, who did much of the soundtrack for Civ 5.
Thanks for your kind words! I'm definitely open to it, as the AtG backers have been incredibly supportive and patient. Ultimately it will come down to how AtG sells, because if it does well enough we may not need to seek external funding at all.
The easy (and most accurate) answer is "when it's done". We're aiming for late-2015, but it's possible I push that back even further in order to ensure AtG is truly polished.
Give it to meeee, hahaha
My props to Geoff Knorr
Well, I did actually upload a YouTube video of just the music, in case that counts!
No idea if you have played it but despite them being obviously very different types of games I am getting some 'Banished' vibes from this, I think it is the resources, professions along with the seasons and survivalism aspects. The tribe traits also remind me of Crusader Kings 2 as well (easily one of my favorite games).
Having only heard of it vaguely before now I have to say the game looks really nice and the music is fantastic. I will certainly be keeping an eye on it next year. I am super interested in how interactions with other Tribes/Romans will work and victory conditions.
Thanks for answers.
Releasing the game sets it in stone (to some degree). So take your time.
Well, I did actually upload a YouTube video of just the music, in case that counts!- Jon
Oh, it does indeed. Many thanks to you!
Late 2015 seems so long away.
Then again, tiny team and an ambitious game, so it's important to get it right.

Now, unless I'm crazy, I thought Brad announced a few years ago that SD had hired you. Are you still working for SD?
He used to work for SD, then he left amicably to go his own way, and SD has been helping a little in promotion of AtG.
So glad I kickstarted this. Looks great. Ya the video was slow only because hes just explaining the game no biggie. Arnold part made me laugh. PUT THE COOKIE DOWN!
Love the art style. Jon best of luck to ya and looking forward to playing it next year.
Looks like it will have potential.
