P.S. Love the star port for building ships concept, it adds a whole different tactical level!
I've only spent about 10 min. with it so far (working still...) but I noticed a "glitch" right off the bat. Starting as the Terrans, I noticed that Mars was right next door, and its' dark side had all these lights on like it had been colonized. Seeing this was turn one, I obviously hadn't done that yet. Can't wait to dive into it some more tonight!
Lights are not working with population yet, so all the planets will look populated for a bit.
That was my assumption, thanks for confirming it, Paul. Looks good so far! I just tried making a new ship with the redesigned shipbuilder and was doing really well until I tried playing with the animation. Wanted to cancel what I had done and hit cancel and lost all of my work!!! Stupid user error... But I really like what you guys have done so far. Keep up the good work!
How do I update?
Tech: Enhanced Production - benefit "Missing Info +1"Starport: Not obvious the selected ship is indefinitely built; no queue...Colony Ship: Land on planet ->Load "5"; Founded Planet Starting Population "2.5"Need Governor access from planet screenEven w/o diplomacy in the game having the ability to build embassy would be nice...Provide placement capability of starport on main map - maybe limit distance from building planet...Shipyards need "Current Production" area on main screen just like planets...maybe combine with starbases tabCargo Sensor Ship seems too cost-effective...maybe diminishing returns for multiple copies of the same module type?Add a Planet Improvement to mine local resources - can be improved just like the starbase versionSimilarly, have sensor improvements to increase planet visibility. Military bonuses would improve their effectiveness.Cannot view all available sponsors for shipyard (only 2); would be nice to see population, production %, and building/ship ratio for each sponsorInter-stellar starport production sponsorship should be more efficient; maybe have some kind of delay instead...both to start and to stop to reflect transit time. Production is not that perishable.
