Greetings again! I had a short argument with a friend of mine and he is saying that Console gamers are far and above better gamers than PC ones. This was primarily in regard to shooters such as Call of Duty and such. Anyway we all know that PC gamers can easily OWN console gamers and I closed my argument with that! I then ended on how much more PC can bring to the table and started to list what I had vrs say a PS4. In the long run, I am sure a PC is going to have far better life than a PS4. However that does come with a cost....
Really this thread is for the folks designing our game, perhaps they can get a slice of what some of use play on. I built this system myself and I am happy with the results.
Ok so here is what I got...
Asrock Motherbord Z77 Extreme 6
Intel 3570 K Quad core, (Overclocked to 4.2)
Cooler Master hyper 212 Evo
Gskill Ripjaws DDR 3 2133 (2 x 4 gig)
Win 7 Pro 64
Corsair 850 Gold Power supply.
Seagate Barracuda 1 Terrabyte HDD (7200 rpm)
OZC 64 gig SSD Gen 3 ( I am using Intels 'Smart response technology' to use this as a cache drive for the HDD)
EVGA's Gefore GTX 670 2 gb. no sli here..just one card.
Oh and I play on an Asus 27" HD 1080P monitor.
There are much better rigs out there but I am curious as to what folks here who play 4x games got....
Happy comparisons!
Did you know that Steam tracks all of that information if you opt in?
backs out of the room slowly...
What if I told you I love all games, PC Games, Console Games, Tabletop Games, Tablet Games. I love playing games, rolling dice, flipping cards, pushing buttons, etc. I go where the games I want to play are. Which means eventually I get around to everything.

It suffices for me. There was actually no need for me to upgrade the CPU (Pentium Dual-Core E5200) but I thought it was time. The videocard (Radeon HD4670 512MiB GDDR3) was acting up so that had to go and I was still using WinXP so I figured why not get Win7 and an SSD too.I might upgrade my motherboard, cpu, memory and monitor in two or three years for Star Citizen. Definately not sure about it though.
So there are my current system:
Core i5-3570K - just like topic starter (even with the same clocks);
Arctic Cooling Freezer Xtreme rev.2;
MSI Z77A-GD65;
Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870 (also overclocked, 1225/6000);
Crucial Ballistix Tactical DDR3 1600 (2x4GB);
Two usual Seagate's HDD;
And 21.5" FHD IPS monitor by LG (LG IPS224T);
Old (2008, from previous system) FSP's power supply unit 550W;
A4Tech F3 is my mouse. Of course it's not a Razer/Logitech/etc., but this mouse is a very ergonomic for me.
Yea this is a 'brag' thread if you think about it.
On the topic of Steam keeps all that information, true but its only available to Merchants. Is that information from Steam available to all?
They sanitize it but there's a ton of info in the hardware survey.
