When comparing the two versions of founder access I love what it gives but I thought perhaps it would be awesome if the elite edition also came with a free copy of GalCiv2/GalCiv1. I don't think it would be a bad idea especially since it gives the chance of giving that spare key to a friend to play the previous versions and possibly get them to want GalCiv3. Also for those people who may have lost their original copy who want to give it a playthrough again while they wait for GalCiv3 to come out. Well just a suggestion.
There's no need. Stardock is having a sale that makes GalCiv I and GalCiv II available for what you probably didn't bother to dig out of your seat cushions.

$6.24 for the whole banana through Oct 21. Yep, might as well be free.
A suggestion for the founder's Elite. If your log in name is the same as a star (which you named) that star will always be your homeworld.
I like the idea, but would like it to be an option.
Me too. I'd not like to always miss the fun of seeking my star in the current map.
If you registered your copy, then you can download it directly from Stardock. No need to buy it again (unless you want to).
I have a suggestion for the Founder's Elite Edition: a Digital Soundtrack of the music from the game/series.
Can i upgrade to Elite Edition does anyone know !!! would be cool if i can.
Contact sales@stardock.com about it. It'd involve cancelling your current order and then you buying the Elite edition.
What Wintersong said, also I think there has been someone who confirmed they were able to 'upgrade' (as in the old one was cancelled so they can do the Elite Founder Pre-order). So I don't think you will have much of a problem and they will be happy to help.
From a business perspective, why wouldn't you let your customer buy the more expensive package after the initial fact. The: "no you got to buy it again and keep the other one," is definitely not a smart business move as it would deny the larger sale most of the time. Stardock, from what I saw, are no fools.
