Please consider replacing the silver boarder with a gold border for the $99 Founders elite badge, this way we can proudly promote the fact that we got the Founders Elite edition
I am already proud... of StarDock that they actually gave the opportunity to become a Founder. However, that would be cool as askjosh mentioned it or just simply wrtite in on the badge "Elite"
And please emplace mammaries.
Is that really important to make a difference between founder types? I personally don't fancy the idea of founder badges despite having some (or titles) for different games, Isn't enough the visual artificial rift between those who have given money (blindly) for the preorder and those that (for different reasons) have not?
What visual artificial rift? Why would someone be offended by a forum badge?
I don't really feel the need to be recognized simply for opting to purchase the more expensive variant...Seems pretty insignificant.

Stardock forums seem quite mature in general so hopefully, no one. So hopeful that no one would use it offend anyone else. Though I think I remember seeing in these forums people making use of the join date ammunition (quite commonly used in MMO forums). Elemental launch maybe?
Don't get me wrong, if Stardock thinks that by making the Elite badge golden will increase its sales, they can go ahead and make it golden.
Personally, I wouldn't mind having the option to turn off the badge, since it takes up a lot of space and I think it looks kind of ugly; besides which, I wasn't interested in the badge when I purchased the game. Nor am I particularly inclined to put up a big sign that says "hey everyone - look how much I just spent".
I don't like the idea of different badges for the different levels. Having a founder's badge is good enough and the extras, such as alpha access, naming a star and having lifetime rights to the expansions are sufficient incentives. A special badge might also make those who want to buy the cheaper version think twice.
I bet that everyone that says they don't see a need for a different badge is only a $39 founder...
I say definitely give elite founders a gold badge.
I paid the elite amount and couldn't care less about silly forum flair. I did it to gain access to promised early builds and free content...Not to express what a special snowflake I am via a badge underneath my name on an internet forum.
If you're paying $99, a different badge for bragging rights don't seem like much to ask for.
On the other hand, I'm sure Stardock has plenty of work on their hands right now.
I bought the Founder's Elite version. However, I did so to support Stardock, not to get some form of status symbol. I couldn't care less about those.
It's just a reskin with some backend extra work so not so much to ask for. But should the badge be bragging rights? Do we need bragging rights? Naming a star is not enough? Saving some bucks on all GalCivIII's products is not enough? Being able to have a say during alpha is not enough? Right now, if you preordered, you are a Founder. It doesn't matter which preorder you did, you are a Founder. Different "colours" is more like "First Class Founder" and "Second Class Founder". It may be overthinking it but humans are humans and I prefer that right now all Founders are equal (with different preordering rights) to Stardock.
I do admit that the badges are some form of indirect PR. People that comes here for first time and don't really know about the Founder program, can get curious about it and maybe take part. But hopefully, no one preorders in order to get a forum badge (only).
I say I bought the elite pre-ordr and I don't care If I have a badge, don't have a badge, or if the badge is pink all over(ok, I may have a slight issue with that last one)
I have seen the join date card used on other forums also, never did like that. Join date should not have any effect on how people are viewed. In regards to the badge type I can understand why some people might want to be recognized. As long as they don't use it like pulling out the join date card then I'm okay with it.
Either way it doesn't matter much to me, I bought the elite package to support Stardock because I really like their games and I like the company and also the included future DLC and naming a planet is good enough for me.
