With the two Founder's Editions, there will most likely be a cutoff date of when we can no longer purchase them. When is that, or when can we expect to know when that information will be available?

Yeah you can't really compare GalCiv to Sins. They're both great games, but they play differently. I do hope you enjoy turn based strategy as well as RTS. Because $99 is a lot of money, especially if it's spent on a game you're not going to enjoy.
Of course there is no guarantee that people who like the GalCiv Series and TBS games will enjoy GalCivIII but I'm betting there is a very high probability that I will.
The difference between Stardock and SEGA (and EA) is that they can admit their mistakes and will try to fix them instead of trying to sweep things under the rug and blame their customers. Stardock's handling of E:WM is an example of what a company should do when it makes mistakes. The only reason why I haven't pre-ordered the Founder's Elite Edition yet is because I want to pay off a few things first (despite what some people say, $100 is not chump change, especially for college students).
Already discussed, they will cut it off when they cut it off.
