I tried searching for this topic but didn't find anything so sorry if this has been covered before.
I use Fences 2.10 on my laptop (Windows 7 Pro 64-bit) and whenever my screen resolution changes (e.g. when I pug it into an external monitor) Windows Explorer hangs for about a minute before Fences finally kicks in and Windows Explorer finally responds to any sort of input.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there any solutions out there? Needless to say, this is extremely frustrating when I do something like plug my laptop into a projector to share my screen and I can't really do anything for a minute.
That's the nvidia driver for your graphic's card fault.
Interesting... is there a known version I can use that won't cause issues with my NVS 5200M? Is the the nvidia control panel that's the problem or the driver itself?
They've been fumbling for a while now. 5+ months. We just have to wait and see what the next driver holds next month. I actually reported this same issue on their forums a couple of days before I saw this thread lol. I don't remember a nvidia driver that didn't do this though unfortunately.
I temporarily disabled fences just to see if I was correct in blaming nvidia. I was wrong. When I disabled fences, it didn't cause the problem you were having (or me) anymore. So it is fences fault. Sorry about that man
Although nvidia has been having several bad months, it's not them this time.
