What are your toughts about the TEC Loyalists in 1.52 with DLC from a balancing standpoint?

I would disagree.
For one single reason: Antimatter draining ships.
The Ragnarov is much more difficult to be kept drained of antimatter than the Ankylon.
With antimatter available, the Ankylon is now a match for the Ragnarov, but without it it becomes a very expensive very durable brick with lously firepower on it.
Due to a lack of significant firepower, any antimatter draining ship can stay in range infinite, permanenty keeping the Anklyon from using any abilities.
The Ragnarov however has enough conventional firepower to make it very difficult t keep a cap ship alive, even when well supported.
So after some time, the Ragnarov will again be capable of using abilities... the Ankylon wont.
And a Ragnarov with abilities beats an Ankylon without ones, any day.
Advent loyal with decent amount of planets is better turtle than tec loyal.
Which is not as it should be so nerf LOVE CANNONS
Are you insane? The developers needed 3 expansion before making the Deliverance Engine remotly useful....

As far as 5s are concerned its not really an issue, at best its irrelevant and highly circumstantial. You know better than me sin as you played a lot more games recently. Also in general you want your titan to spend as much time in a battle as possible as all lvl 1(low level)* titans are just big flying buildings and can die to LF/vette spams easily if not played correctly.
I had a game recently vs a vasari fleet and ankylon outperformed Vorastra titan as he had to constantly jump in and out while my Ankylon just there spamming Matrix and eating up all the XP. AM caps while annoying will affect all titans equally in my opinion.
*Yes even lvl 1 Vorastra.
5s are not the only MP game type.
And they are unsuitable for balancing discussions in most cases, because feed, teammate placement ect... can have huge consequences for the game.
So no AM drain on him, right?
If the Vasari had bothered to bring 2 Kortuls, you would have soon spammed prayers.
Where you on the defense with Milita active?
He had Kortuls btw, but you can still counter them same way you counter radiance trying to burn your lvl 6 Marza etc.. I mention 5s so there is no misunderstanding, im well aware that other modes are affected differently but as i dont play i can only relate to 5v5/1v1 gametypes.

I find the Radiance or Dunov far easier to counter than any Kortul.
And while they certainly can be countered, they will often remove more AM than Dunov or Radiance.
BTW, how do you counter a Radiance that dares to theaten your beloved level 6 marza?
You don't counter a Kortul- you drive it away or kill it.
On the flip side you can counter the AM drain of a Radiance or Dunov with a Kortul
The Radiance could use some better forward firing damage for being a battleship- especially from the front beams. Other than that all 3 units seem to perform well.
I had exactly this situation sometime ago when i was playing versus SheldonCooper or whatever their original nick is (400 wins on ICO out of 600 games). Both of us had 100 or so LFs, he had Prog and later built Radiance when he saw my marza getting close to lvl 6.
All you need to do: split your force and move the Marza around the gravity well, he will be forced to either leave the gravity well or send radiance to burn your Marza. Simply focus it with your LFs while kiting it around the well. It suffers from the Ragnarov effect somewhat and cant burn sideways either. You can also jump out if required but chances are his radiance would be low lvl, enough to die in a short time to LFS or whatever your fleet composition is.
Its possible that your enemy went Radiance as first cap, then you ll need to add something extra to your fleet( TEC Loyalist vettes etc) as cap would be around lvl 5 and hard to Focus Fire it down. But that doesnt happen very often and advent players of equal skill often lose with radiance opening vs marza opening early game.
Generally though and its true for all high lvl cap ships with LF spam games, is that you ll need to keep your force split or face the high risk of losing your capital ships before they can jump out. I ll have a look for that replay when im back home.
Yeah agreed, would be nice for Radiance to be on a Marza level but then Prog is so much more useful than an Akkan so... much of a muchness really.
I think the Ankylon is not intended to be used on its own, it is a supporting Titan with a powerful group shield. It has an accompanying fleet that can attack stuff ... so what if it is weak when it's all alone. It's pretty good with a fleet, all imo of course.
This reminds me, someone needs to start a new skilled replay/goldlist thread... I think it would really help the multiplayer community grow by educating the less experienced and make them want to compete against each other.

Lol that was a fun game, dont remember last time killing Doci's titan twice in a row. I think im back to speed with TEC now, although im too slow and rusty with advent and their hit and run tactics.
