Fallen Enchantress is 20 bucks on steam for 11 more hours (until 11/24 at 11:59PM Eastern).
Last night it was 25% off, and I was thinking, "it will drop again before Christmas." Woke up this morning and it was 50% off. I thought, "Ehh it will drop again before Christmas, BUT... we will not quibble over 5 more dollars Stardock. Let us shake hands and game on!" Though, the people that bought it yesterday for 25% off are probably like, "wait a minute... well played Steam... well played".
No, they're probably thinking, #($*?!! you, Steam, $$*&!?!! you!
I'm not so sure, if you use steam regularly chances are you know about flash sales, and to not buy something until the last day, to see if the games on a daily deal or flash sale. If you do not wait, aka you want to play it straight away, I doubt you will care much about a few dollars if you picked it up yesterday and bought it. You had your fun no?

Always wait for the holiday sales on Steam....always. Never pay full price. And also wait for the last day as noted. For example I need one of the Crusader Kings II DLC's which are all 50% off right now. However I know they will go to 75% off at some point like they did in the summer sales. So I'll hold back and wait for it.
Next big Steam sale will be the Winter sale around Christmas which will probably go for about a week.

Right now Galactic Civilizations II is selling better than Fallen Enchantress on Steam. Because it's 75% off of course, but just saying.
Borderlands 2 is the top seller, and is 50%, just saying.

Shogun 2 Complete Collection for $12! Don't know when I will get to it though because I downloaded the Huge Map Mod (for FE of course) and have 25 players working on it! It's insane!
My point is that 6 years after the initial release this game is still played, bought and much appreciated. I just finished a game today playing with the Terran Alliance. I just hope the Elemental series follows the same path.
