I just installed 952 on my new computer I7-3770k 8gig win7 64 and when trying to run the game I get to the main menu but I cannot select any options ie new game, etc. My mouse cursor is correct but can't click on anything. Have to use the task manager to get out of main screen.
I had the game on my old rig and it worked correctly. Any ideas?? Thanks
Doesn't anyone have any ideas why this may be happening. Would appreciate some help.
Where did you install the game? Also, what do you have User Account Control Settings(UACS) set to?
Edit: In addition, have you made sure you have the 2005 runtime libraries, and finally what antivirus are you using?
The game is installed in G: Stardock Games/FallenEnchantress, the UAC is set to Default. I downloaded and installed 2005 runtime Libraries and the Antivirus installed is Microsoft Security Essentials. I tried to run the game again but have the same problem mentioned in the OP.
Alrighty, interesting. I would recommend trying to set UAC to none, and restarting then running again. Also, you can possibly try right clicking the game executable and having it run as administrator.
Otherwise, you might also try installing Direct X's older runtime libraries, possibly DX9, this game user older libraries. If you have trouble finding any of these, I can link them later today when I have some time.
On a side note, I know the game will work on win7 x64 so its a setting or driver issue somewhere! Also, if you have time before this evening if you post your DXDiag on here or message me with it, I will take a look to see if any of your other settings might be causing trouble. (To create a DXdiag hit start -> run type dxdiag -> hit enter, save the output to a text file.)
Tried all that you mentioned, still the same problem. I have included the DXDiag info in a PM to you. I really appreciate you spending some time to help me.

Remember to include your dxdiag file in the post.
Since this is a critical bug that is preventing you from using the game, they'll be very interested in fixing it.
