Hello,
I'm glad to see the exciting new features in Fences 2, they look like excellent improvements. I ultimately had to remove Fences because I use another product called Directory Opus that also triggers an action with a desktop double click. I wanted to disable or change the Fences trigger so that it would not interfere with the DO function but that was not an option. In my case DO was far more important to me than Fences (sorry!) so it had to go.
If fences 2 could provide so other triggering options (preferred) or the option to disable the desktop double click if no alternate triggers are practical I would love to install the beta and use Fences 2.
Thank you for your consideration of this request.
Regards,
KEM
Well, I guess I should look before I leap/post. I decided to install Fences 2 into a VM so that I could see the new features and configuration settings. It looks like there is an option to disable the desktop double click option. D'Oh!
I'm going to start testing it but I'd like to refine my enhancement request to just provide alternative options to trigger the fence hiding beyond just enable/disable. A global hotkey perhaps or mouse gesture. The feature is nice it just needs to be more flexible.
Thanks and sorry for posting before researching!

Unless I'm mistaken, there has always been an option to turn on/off the double click option from the very beginning.
I don't think that option exists in the current Fences PRO. It may in the free version, I don't recall. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Oops, you said Fences Pro.
I just disabled double click in Directory Opus. Simple.
Ditto...
Ok, enough....I guess I'm gonna have to look at DO. Never heard of it until the day Jafo called me a Dopus and I thought he meant Dufus.
Jafo, check your PM.
Hi, All,
I'm Kevin and I am new to the forum, but I'm having the same problem - even though I've disabled the desktop double-click behaviour in Fences, the desktop double-click in Directory Opus 11 Pro doesn't work. Using Windows 8.1, i5 3470, 8 Gig RAM, 2 TB HD, NVidia GT660 graphics, running, Fences 2.12, Object Dock, Window Blinds, Deskscapes, Modern Mix, Start8, etc.
My guess is that even though Fences isn't using the desktop double-click, it's still intercepting it before the Directory Opus handler can. I've used DOpus since the 90's with version 4 on the Amiga - and literally use it all the time - usually from a double-click on the desktop. Hence, it's indespensible.
Any ideas?
All the best,
Kevin.
Like Dopus, Listery has a double click feature which cant be disabled and comes along with fences.
