The hero trait that gives +3 damage against opponents in which you have more initiative... Is it me or is it not working? I had 13 attack, so it should go up to 16 with finesse, yet the tooltip said I would only deal 6-13 damage against a 0 armor enemy.

Anyone have experience or noticed anything similar?
I just tested it out. I was always suspicious of these abilities since they would be hard to measure if they actually worked.
I started a brand new game and chose finesse at level 2 with Altar. I went around fighting stuff with a dagger and sure enough finesse does not seem to work at all. I would assume Brute and those others don't work either but I guess looking at the XML might show a typo or something.
Edit: Brute Seems to Work
This is my experience too, I wonder if the unit trained "finesse" is broken too though

My 9 attack doesn't upgrade to a 12 attack against slower enemies.

all these months of beta testing and i had been totally deceived. shame on you.
If you are familiar with the damage calculations, you would know that 9+3 = 12. And 12 attack power should do more than 4-8 damage against 1 defense.

I did end up testing the extra attack vs Higher level and lower level units, those work fine.
It seems like if you choose Underdog and Brute on your trained troops, they get +3 attack against all units that aren't exactly the same level, thats pretty useful I think. I think they should be mutually exclusive for flavor purposes.
Nah thats ok, they are rather costy too, and I can find you better traits
But thanks anyways, and I wouldn't mind too much if they were exclusive, I never use them anyways.
