now about this topic woow. i just did a 10 hour game ( NOT STRAIGH) i did them in break for 4hrs - 3 hrs 3 hrs hehe it was a fun game and i really love it all but my "strategy" part is now
How to deal with the "pirates" late in game ?? the thing i had my last race to anihilate and was building a fleet to go and "win" but the pirated i think the "ra*e" at least 6 of my "starter" planets at one point i tough of going back and i did i went back 3 planets and the AI took 2 of his planets back . then i say screw it going to kill the AI and be done with it and the Pirates took another 2 planets before i won lol.... do the pirates ever go and atack the npc we give them a mission ? because i swear i did it like twice and they never atack them (or i didnt saw them...) is it possible to kill the pirate base late in game ?
i also wanted to say even tough it was 10 hrs it was a really fun game.
BTW game was Single Star Medium map 5 computer all HARD mode. and myself as TEC Loyalist.
i guess i would need more Starbases... on planets near the pirate ship to stop those pirates atacks....
Late-game, just send your titan into the pirate base and watch it gain levels.
Hoh yeah this is fun. Do this, if they're like level five or over. You might need to babysit them (retreat into a safe zone before returning, keep them out of a big patch of turrets) but it's not likely.
I ignore the pirate missions thing and just pay them enough to go after the AI. either that or I take a fleet and clear out their base, blowing up then taking over their asteroid gives a great bonus on trade income.
One or two Nova Cannon shots on the pirate planet n they stop coming as they lose the planet.
Just take a lot of LRMs into the priate base along with level 5 or higher titan and mop up
If the last Pirate base on a multi-star map is destroyed, do all things pirate go away? (Like the TEC Rebel ability that gets them to ally?)

While I don't think this is intentional by the poster, reviving a post like this is probably pointless, I have not even seen the OP in two months. Thus it should probably be pointed out to check the dates before you post. Now things like mods and MP game setups that have utility might be worth reviving, but strategy and general game comments are probably best left to new posts.
well seems our views differ- to me if 3 weeks go by without a reply on a discussion thread(I perceive different rules/expectation for example from forums games or threads devoted to the upkeep of a mod), in my nook the thread is dead and buried and any attempt to whip it's rotting innards into a mockery of thread-life is a crime against thread-nature!
Twilight. assuming they have not changed the pirates from diplomacy, destroying the pirate bases wont get rid of the ones around planets or any pirate raids currently in effect. nor dose it prevent ships from spawning when a planet is lost from the loyalty thing.
Oh and guys' quit bitching about it being necro'd and answer the question.
