I did a little searching for "Dual Monitor" but didn't see anything. I have 2 Monitors, and when I scroll in the direction of the Second monitor, instead of keeping the cursor inside the first monitor (Window the game is in) it allows the mouse to escape and never actually scrolls to the right in the game.
I hope this makes sense.
There are allready two post on this. Yes it sucks but will the devs do anything about it...
I'd hope so. It makes the game almost unbearable. Having to zoom out and zoom in to scroll lol.
you may always deactivate the 2nd monitor for playing or use a program like cursor lock ...
Yes, those are viable options. Just figured since it was still in beta, and the issue is clearly a bug, it should be addressed.
Having to disable a monitor before playing is not a good solution at all. There's no reason this shouldn't be fixed before release.
I hope it will be.
Edge scrolling is a terrible way to navigate in Sins.
Unlock the zoom and use zoom to cursor to navigate. Vastly superior.
Not when you need to just shift a little over to the right.
Been happening to me on and off throughout the beta. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I dont use the edge scrolling and as I have three monitor and I play SoaSE in the center one, I found that is much more effective to simply use the zoom andkeys to move around.
Shifting a little to the right is a simple action. How far you move is dependent on how far you zoom in and out, combined with the position of the cursor relative to center. A slight shift requires an equally slight action.
I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to have the cursor locked in when the game is in full screen, but it's not because of navigational issues.
Edge scrolling is the far more intuitive way of moving around. It's how people new to the game are going to do it, because the idea that I should go left by zooming is not going to dawn on people. It's a really not-obvious way of doing things.
For that reason alone it needs fixing before release.
I'm not really new to the game, I zoom but also prefer to edge scroll when needed.
All things said, I enjoy Rebellion.
Please think about what you said because it really does not make any sense whatsoever. I have been playing sins since the start of this galactic sized invasion of the cosmos and speaking of which of course there is going to be a lot of zooming in and out. That said it makes no sense at all to zoom out then back in when you just need to bump the mouse ever so slightly in one direction or another. It does need fixing but not for the reason you stated but because it is perhaps a basic but never the less integral component of (rts) map manipulation.
umm... I'm pretty sure we agree.
We keep this going, maybe we can catch the attention of a Dev.
Are the forums the only way to submit bug reports?
I simply use the arrow keys for scrolling. My LAN friends always wonder why my user actions stat is 2-3x higher then theirs
HAHAHA man thats funny.
yeah ironclad. please fix that!
as a matter of course this needs to work.
Alt-tab a couple times, works for me when I'm too lazy to fire up cursor lock.
cursor lock works, but as a matter of fact it shouldnt be too hard to implement such basic feature and supply in a patch.
HAHAHAHAHAHHahahahaaaaaaaaaa
There's another thread started about this, and one also in the Tech forum.
It gets even worse when you have 3 screens. I cant go left or right without having sins minimize/lose my cursor.
It's a game breaker.
Here's the other thread
