It looks like the CPU "creep" is fixed for dual video card system (or at least mine). I ran it for several active hours yesterday and left it run overnight and all cores are idling where they should be this morning.
I appreciate you fixing these issues considering how few of us run more than one video card.
In SDC, the 4.99 beta is the RC
Completely awesome
A question. Why does WindowsFX 5 RC1 need my password? I understand email and the number for it, but password? Mine does say RC BTW, even though the store says "beta".
OK, I been playing with it. Tell me why the "global" animation speed is in percent of normal and all the individual sliders are in parts of seconds? I got it figured out what speed I wanted using parts of seconds so I decided just to use the global setting. How am I to know what percent over 100 does 0.05 equate to? Perhaps we would have the "global" slider reflect the slider for the individual times? I don't think percentage would work across the board as some things are different than others, but you could make it into a time value maybe? Or a choice or either? Remember, I stopped playing with the beta because of some negative effects on the skins I was using or I would have said something back then.
The global animation speed cannot be in seconds because it is a multiplier on the per animation settings not an absolute value.
So if you want all your animations to be twice as fast as normal you set that to 50%. Take twice as long, set it to 200%.
So the time for any given animation will be (per animation time) * global slider.
If an animation normally takes 0.25 seconds and you set the slider to 150% then it will take 0.250 * 1.5 = 0.375 seconds.
Just letting you guys know that this latest version works even BETTER on all of my different multi-monitor configurations with the latest drivers from nvidia on all machines. There were some hiccups before on my B setup with the previous release (first pass dual card support), but those are gone now with this RC1.
Well done!
Hum. So I end up setting them all by hand anyway because they have different starting values. No worries, I probably never would have noticed the "global" thing anyway.
Thanks ID!
Ici la France
cela serait bien si le logiciel était en Français
Am I Missing something, Stardock .download is only showing FX5beta nor FX5RC1
Sorry missed the second page got it taken care of.
Awesome update!
Dunno how well WFX handles/works on multi monitor setups, but here it doesn't 'perform' 100%
I have 'Enable screen edge windows resizing' unchecked in the config
But it only applies to the main monitor. As soon as I move any window near the edge of secondary monitors, they auto resizes.
Latest WFX from SDC64 bit Winblows 7As far as I know this 'feature' isn't enabled/disabled anywhere else or in any other application. I haven't seen it anywhere else than in WFX.
If that feature is off in WindowFX then the default OS feature is used.
I imagine thats what you are seeing.
Snowman is off to 'de-featuring' this - where ever I may find it...
A smidge off topic, if I may.....
I have Windows Shake, aka Aero Shake, disabled in WFX but can't seem to disable it in Windows. Any ideas?
Should I start a thread for this?
