ok...here's the deal. Recently, the Advent patch for Rebellion was released, steam downloaded, and all was well and good....The first time. The second time I started the game, the intro movie lagged, then the third was the infamous black screen (sins launched, but a few seconds of the screen turning black the sins cursor popped up and the game mini-dumped ever since=[; tho all settings were set to medium after first launch. I have deleted local content, reinstalled the game, and now it is only .62....the previous patch. (Although it now can launch successfully)
How do I force steam to update to the .75 patch since restarting steam, changing auto updates on and off, and seeking the patch itself out produces no results? (any and all sins rebellion beta updates are not even listed in the steam client....only the fact that the game is a beta is the only 'news' there....any potential fixes? Also, can the previous beta updates be 'published news' in the steam client?
The 0.75 patch was revoked. They say it was accidentally released and we weren't supposed to have it yet. Everyone now has 0.62 instead of 0.75.
Thanks Goa=]...but I kinda wonder how the black could be triggered in that way....almost through a ghost patch conflict of some sort to cancel the new patch....well, guess it's back to comp-stomping tec some more=] but is there any way to force a steam update when a new version comes out but steam won't auto-download it? to get to .61 I had to uninstall and reinstall rebellion....
mastrK007, You need to read some of the topics in the Rebellion board.
This pinned post sorta explains what happened.
This post, and others there might help with some of your problems.
