If any of you got the chance to play the Advent for the short time that it was probably watched the new trailer but for those who didn't they gave a huge and amazing story! Never the less towards the last part of the video they were talking about the Vasari and in the last part of the narrator who we all know and love said talking about the Vasari Rebels. "Or strangely their outcasts may end up being our salvation especially if the warning is true." MIND BLOWN! What do you think the warning could be and could the devs be hiding a secret race from us?!
D'uh Sins 2.
lol you are an enthusiasm nuclear explosion.
Um... if you've been following from Sins 1.0, the Vasari showed up because they were 'fleeing' the ruins of their empire, destroyed by an 'unknown force'. It spreads out from the site of a research accident, causing all signals to go silent...
The only knowledge they have of it is from one ship that managed to escape... it's entire crew completely insane from whatever they witnessed.
Straight from the first version 4 years ago.
"Especially if the warnings are true" still means there won't necessarily be a Sins 2. Just pointing it out here so people don't blindly expect a sequal and end up being disappointed in case Rebellion turns out to be the last title of the series...
When you finish a single player game or multiplayer game you unlock the dreadlords that automatically take over a colony , start producing powerful caps and frigates. You risk getting wiped out if you don't mount an early offensive.
shivan sathanas?
I hated the dreadlords! My biggest disappointment about the beta reset was not being able to see that trailer again. It was so ridiculously impressive. It seamlessly tied the entire game story from beginning to end. The one cut scene of the two Advent titans facing off was visual brilliance. I'm hoping that perhaps it ties in or alludes to only being able to defeat the enemy from the warning together as a unified front. If it's another version of the dreadlords it's gonna suck to have invested all that time and energy just to see it all come crashing down if you're not able to wipe them out early.
Sure hope they do a Sins 2 though, been a big fan of this franchise for too long.
I feel like one of the lucky ones being able to play the Advent alot or even in general and seeing the trailer 4 times
I feel lucky as well. The Advent are my favorite faction, but I find myself split between liking the rebels or loyalists more. I love the tech of the Loyalists, but I just adore the look and feel of the Advent Rebel Titan. I especially feel lucky since I was in offline mode when the "downdate" happened!
I had it backed up muhahaha!
All I can say is my theory seems to be correct (for a part at least). Vasari rebels and TEC join forces.
What worries me is their cause. In various sources I've read so the vasari can take the tec with them on their escape. (which is also suggested by the end of the cinematic). But I'd prefer the idea (and I recall a dev saying this in an interview) it is to join forces and face the enemy head on. It makes sense, the TEC stood no chance against the vasari when they invaded. But a few decades later they can fight them head on. The vasari might think they stand a chance if they and TEC and perhaps the Advent rebels team up.
We'll only believe you if you show a pic of an Advent titan holding today's newspaper.
The trailer was superb. Still i kinda hoped it would show some of the Titans special abilities, not just using their regular weapons. I mean something like showing Advent Coronata taking over planet or Vasari Vorastra summoning some dark fleet ships...
The visuals though, were flawless.
youtube? I skipped it the only time I loaded the game to check what the patch added.
Never to see it!!!!
Can anybody youtube it in all its glory... it is said this is an open beta and screenshots/videos are ok.
The prospect of sins2 is making me excited like a little girl BTW.... bad form gents... bad form

Speaking of which, I've been working on logging factional relations, and I'll probably get around to making a thread about them all once all 3 races are added.
One thing I noticed which lends more credence to this theory is that during my short game as Advent Rebels vs. all 3 other factions, my base standings with Tec Loyalists were remarkably good at only -1.35.
(Standings with the TEC Rebels were, predictably, an enormous -11.25.)
Edit - Also "perhaps the Advent rebels." Just going to point out that the fleet at the end of the cinematic had all 3 races' ships in it, the Advent ones were just kind of obscured by the Titan.
Thanks Klax
WOW.... nice.... I am rather hoping a fourth special side is revealed..... the dark danger following the Vasari may arrive as the last faction of Rebellion??? Looks more like that than a new sins2 game to me..
Yes the last scene seems to be the more aggressive factions teaming up to fight an unknown enemy.... or perhaps just the conservative factions
there's clearly a hidden new race in rebellion- its obvious that if there not putting them now then they will in an expansion later this year. Sounds like the story finally unfolding but there's so much work to be done:. I mean whats this talk about super-star destroyers that dwarf titans and Starbases there talking about lately in the RTSguru interview.
There many game elements being employed here and i can't wait to see it all.
P.S: 720p version of the trailer was ripped from youtube and now resides in my downloads folder
anyone else see Sheppard from Mass Effect on that roof at 49s?
Just before the colony ship lands?
double post.
I'm Commander Shepard and TEC is my favorite faction [on the Citadel].
