Ok, been playing both factions for a few hours, much to the annoyance of my fiance, and so far I'm not too impressed. Mostly by the titans. I like a lot of the research added, and the ideas behind both factions but the titans are weak. Very weak. A level 1 Loyalist titan is outclassed by a level 4 Kol. I know that the Advent are meant to be played as a cohesive fleet, and that they are generally weaker in the hull department than the other races but these titans seem very underpowered. As far as abilities go, I mostly like the Loyalist titan, and I mostly dont like the Rebel titan. Especially the level 6 ability, which as far as I can tell requires the titan to be at 0 health in order to use. It seems contrary to the idea of the titans to include an ability which basically requires the destruction of the titan, which you are then required to rebuild at significant cost and complete loss of XP (unless this has changed in the update, I try not to let my titans die so I dont know). I'm not sure what the point of this ability is, maybe I'm just missing it because I'm tired and its late(ish). Sorry this is a little run on. What does everyone else think about the Advent as they are now?
Los advent son mi facción favorita, recien jugue un partido con la subfacción leales, me parecio genial, creo que para descripciones y opiniones mas concisas y extendidas se necesitan más que 4 horas de haber salido el juego... no?
The advent are my favorite faction, recently I played a game with the loyal subfacción, me seemed great, think that you for descriptions and opinions more concise and extended are needed more than 4 hours of having left the game... not?
I like the Advent Titans. Yes, they are a bit weaker in the hull department. And admittedly have not faced them up against TEC but I watched the Rebel Advent Titan (lvl 1) chew up the pirate base quite well. Admittedly if it had stayed at level one it would have died but the bump up to level 2 and the AoE ability it gained helped clean out the pirate base. Like a fireball in snow. Will need to do more testing but I do like what I am seeing. That and I love the Advent Corvettes. I will be building those.
i think that this ability is meant to be for the last resort- suppose you attacked an enemy gravity well and then the enemy brought a huge ass fleet and is doing allot of damage to your titan, by the time you decide to flee- they have the phase "slower downer thing..." and it happens- your titan is killed so instead of just dyeing, you still have a chance to take someone down with you- it gives you enough time. it can make a huge difference on a 1 on 1 titan battle - you destroy the enemy's titan, even though he killed yours first
I guess my main gripe was with the level 6 ability for the rebel titan, I feel like having the ultimate ability of the biggest ship you can build (and can have only one at a time of) should be more than a last ditch ability. I like the ability itself, just not as the ultimate ability for the titan. Maybe if it didnt always result in the death of your titan or something it would make more sense to me. Just my thoughts, if anyone has any insight to a nuance I'm not picking up I'd love to hear it, the Advent are my favorite faction and I'd love to feel like the Rebel titan isnt wasted.
I like to think of that level six ability as a Mutually Assured Destruction type ability.
Tambien es mi facción favorita, los advent tienen de especial que todos sus elementos tienen que estar juntos (aunque tengas una estrategia en particular se unen varios items...) Creo que hay que tenerlo en cuenta.Capaz tenga que ver con eso?
.
Could someone kindly describe the lvl 6 ability in full? I've only had a chance to try the Advent loyalists.
Lo escribi recien en otro post:
As I wrote recently in another post:
Estoy muy contento porque Advent es mi facción favorita!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Al que le gusta esta facción sabe lo que digo: que haya una expansion del juego con más elementos en la facciones favorece a los Advent... por su estrategia, juntar elementos, al tener más elementos el contrincante que lo vee debil puede tener sorpresa con algo inesperado........
When the Titan's hull reaches 0, it lives on for another 60 seconds with the invulnerable stat. Also, it has a much faster anti matter regeneration (if you put it to level two, it becomes %1,000). It also makes its abilities cool down much faster. After the 60 seconds are up, it dies.
I only got the update today and played the advent Loyalists. I was hoping this race would come out first since it is also my favorite. The upgrades added have significantly boosted the ability to dominate with culture. I went for a fortified approach and built a couple culture centers and the enemies can't push my culture at all. I've been fighting 3 unfairs (1 Tec Rebel / Loyalist and 1 Advent Rebel). It's tough to have 3 titans constantly up your ass but the longer the battles continue, the more planets they are losing to culture and the smaller the attacks become. The loyalist titan so far is pretty good for being a support type. I haven't gotten to level 6 yet since I have a large diverse capital ship fleet to make the most of all of the debuffs the advent can make use of. Lastly mentioning the advents light hulls is sort of pointless since their strength is larger shields and much better mitigation especially in friendly culture.
En este post hablan bien de Advent y otras cosas...
In this post, they speak well of Advent and other things...
