Before building an outpost with a pioneer, I'd like to know what areas would be affected by the outpost's ZoC (Zone of Control). Right now, you have to manually figure it out by counting tiles or place the outpost and reload if you're unhappy. GalCiv2 had a similar mechanic when moving around a ship that would create a starbase. Very useful!
This is more of a suggestion rather than a bug, I've changed the location of this thread to FE Beta, I would like this feature implemented as well, I'll let the right person know
Sounds good, lilB. I must have put this in the wrong place initially. Sorry! Not sure how that happened.
Filing bugs is a bit confusing- do we put them in FE Beta or FE Support? Or does it not matter?
Wasn't sure if it was supposed to display this and was (bug) or if it was a missing feature (suggestion). Sometimes that line is pretty fine. Thanks for passing along the feedback; I hope it's an easy implementation.
I'd also expand this slightly and include the same feedback for the first time your sovereign chooses Settle. It should also display the initial ZoC.
I haven't had a chance to test the latest patch, but without mention of this in the post I assume this has not yet been fixed. Can anyone confirm?
It could be a simple thing, like hovering your cursor over the settle and outpost buttons, it highlights the ZoC. Don't know if it's going to interact with other ZoC though....could make for some messy bugs.
Exactly. I'd see it where when you highlight Settle or Outpost it would show the ZoC.
I could see the same issue for displaying the ZoC for Outposts within a ZoC- click on the Outpost or highlight it and it will show the ZoC just for it. This is VERY important for the various benefits Outposts provide.
Agreed. You'd be able to see the impact your outpost would have on neighbouring territory.
This is still an issue for 1.0.
