Hi,
Installed WindowBlinds 7.3 final and it's doing that no skinning thing again when I reboot. It's random, sometimes it runs at startup sometimes it does not. I have auto restart disabled like tech support said but it's still happening. The last beta was working flawlessly. I may go back to it.
Also since I installed 7.3 it broke both my Cursor Control Panel and my IconPackager browser. They both lock up minutes after starting them. They work fine with WB removed.
Anyone else having issues?
What issues are you having?
To the best of my knowledge all the issues were resolved.
Could you provide a screenshot of the problem in Excel 2010 when not ignored?
I imagine what you are seeing is a skin issue rather than a WB one as we have checked Excel 2010 and are not encountering problems.
Is build 309 the latest version? (Natch, the SysTray icon tooltip says build 308.) Stardock store current D/L is version 7.30.047 - what build does that equal?
Are interim builds going to be available through the Stardock Store at any point before Impulse's replacement is published?
I've installed WB, IP, CursorFX and Tweak7 from the individual installers. If I now install Impulse (new machine that hasn't seen it before), will it get confused about what's installed? Can an app installed individually from the downloadable installer be updated (to an interim beta, for example) using Impulse?
Daiwa,
There is a new build available to download from your store. 7.3 Build 310. I have noticed it plays better with certain software I used to have to eliminate from skinning. Not sure what else it fixed.
Others,
Dear god! (Sorry all you atheists) I wish I had not created this post. It's turning into a catchall and no one can seem to keep track of the different problems. Since I realized MOST of these problems were me playing around with software installation I am going to mark it as resolved.
Thanks,
Joe
7.30.047 is what's in my list in the store.
Threads have a way of meandering, true enough, but good information often comes as a result so it's not always bad.
Thanks for the info, Joe.
And Doc - That's what's showing in my store list as well. What do the tooltip and About dialogs of your current install report, if I may ask? And is .047 the version you have installed?
Assuming my currently installed version is not .047, should I unload & uninstall WB before running the new version installer or will the new installer 'update' the currently installed version? This is a new machine with initial installs of my OD apps via the store, none of which have been 'updated' yet.
Thanks.
I installed the one from the store but this is what my "About" shows

Don't know... the store says one thing but "About" says another. Maybe some answers tomorrow, unless Neil pops by.
My About dialog reports build 309 (with build 308 in the tooltip, to nitpick) with some file date/time differences presumably related to mine being the 64bit version.
Build 310 is alleged to be the most recent version. Whether 7.30.047 listed in the store is build 310 is unknown. Hopefully, Neil will pop by & clear that up.
The thing that torks me is that we shouldn't have to depend on the developer popping by a forum post to figure out which frickin' version is which. And it's been that way forever.
The download on the store should be build 310.
You have to remember that XP and Vista/7 have different build numbers and the number you see on the store is the installer build number rather than the WB internal build number.
You 'popped in' while I was typing #133, Neil. Thanks.
Please consider the possibility of listing the internal build numbers in the store info, along with the installer version number. Seems to me that should be possible.
I just discovered that the installer build number is what is listed in the Add/Remove Programs applet - that would appear to resolve my beef, which I wouldn't have been bugged by had I known that, so I apologize for being unaware.
And the PaleMoon issue is fixed with this build. Thx.
