I downloaded the Star Trek: Sacrifice of Angels mod for Sins, I extracted it to the Mods folder in the User/app date etc etc.... I go ingame to enable to mod and when I do the game crashes.
I am using the 'Sins of a Solar Empire' rom the 'Space Unlimited Compilation' game, that ws produced by Kalypso, does this affect it.

Okay, just googled it. The game that was on there may not be updated and causing issues with the mod. See if Impulse (at www.impulsedriven.com ) can update the game for you.
Yes, add your registration to impulse, it will like auto detect the installed application and do it for you. Once you're in there, update to the current version. Unless you've done something silly like tried to run it in the wrong version of sins, it's an update issue. There be bugs aplenty, but none to crash it loading up like that.
I have a code here and it should be the one for all the games in the pack, I know it is cause I can play Sins with the serial code given, but when I put it it to Impulse, it says the serial number is not recognized and it only takes ones from Stardock, the thing is though the serial worked with registering Galactic Civilizations II on Impulse, why won't it work with Sins?
That don't sound right.
Sins can be played without a key. It's only registration that requires one. Looks to me like you used the Galciv key to register Sins, there should be a second key for it.

No, there is a sticker on the CD that was three games on it. There is no other code on or in the box. I have emailed support to see what they say.
I just got the Space unlimited Collection, here in the UK. It has Sins, Gal Civ II - Ultimate, Star Assault and Dark Star One
I bought the game from a retail store and it was sealed, and yet there is only 2 serial number stickers on the inside of the case (with the words "serial number" in German as " Seriennummer"). Neither are recognised in the registration page (they do not show what game the serial number is for!) and when entered in the Serial Update option in game, just leaves the game frozen after a while of accessing the net.
I too am going to have to contact support, so it's a Space Unlimited compilation problem with Stardock allowing various compilations with the necessary "administration" of it, regarding their Serial Number systems!
Hello, I wanted to begin making my own modifications to the sins of a solar empire series but unfortunately this link seems to need fixed. https://stardock.cachefly.net/Sins117and103DevBuilds.rar After clicking on it, the web page displays the 404 error which means it cannot be found. Has this link been disabled due to upgrading for the newer sins of a solar empire game? or is the link just needing repaired.
If anyone responds I thank you in advance since i may not be on to check that often. If by any chance the link above is repaired please have the fixed link in your post thanks again for your time and patience.
the ancient vanilla sins 1.17 and entrenchment 1.03 reference fiiles are no longer available, BUT if you are working with the current sins ie vanilla 1.193, entrenchment 1.053 & diplomacy 1.34, then you CAN download from https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/378266 in the op at the bottom, AND if you prefer to convert the files from the version you are using, then the sins text bin gui (which uses the convertdata's that ironclad has provided) can be found in my modding utility pack

I followed the links you gave me and i cannot downoad them because i am getting a 404 error. the files are no longer in that location or the time it was stored there has ended.

If you get a 404 or does not exist or files no longer there or any error, then the problem would be on your end of things, perhaps a firewall, adblocker, or script blocker is in effect and gumming things up?

ok thank you both for your imput. I do have a fire wall but that usually does not prevent me from reaching a destination.
I tried the link again but for some reason filefactory cannot find any files in the designated link. I have an account there but that does not seem to help a bit what so ever. If i gave you an email could the files be sent that way since i do believe the links are good but for some reason i cannot find the files through filefactory.com's account.
When search for the files using the search function of file factory it gives the response: No Files found in this folder.
I believe i got through now so i think i will not have any more trouble with the downloads. thank you harpo99999 and Stant123 for being patient and helping me out. I hope to be able to create a mod that will be enjoyed my many people.
does the reply work yet? well yes and the reason it was not working was because of the type of post i must have left last. now that its gone the post will resume as normal.
