Minidump isn't working. ;
Now, what the problem is, I'm working on a mod, and recently added a orbital structure to the Vasari Faction. Now, When I start up Sins Of A Solar Empire, It keeps saying "Entity Ref Not Found RESEARCHSUBJECT_PLANETMODULEIMPROVEMENT_SHIELDGENERATOR.entity
However, This file does not exist and I can't find any references anywhere in any files that want this file. It's rather annoying, As I can't find anything about it.
Best bet is to check the playertech.entity file.
It's in there. The file they want doesn't have a faction prefix before "ShieldGenerator" and I've combed over every file I've modified and I still can't find this reference the game is looking for. This always gives me a minidump and I just can't find this "reference" It's driving me insane. Nothing in entity.manifest nothing in the files I've modified and I even took off "upgrade" for the shield generator and it STILL wants this reference.. Should I just create a dummy file?
I think you should use eclipse with soase plugin, http://code.google.com/p/soaseplugin/
It will point the line and the file where this reference is mentionned
I was actually just looking at this.. I used Eclipse with Minecraft when I was attempting to mod it.
going through the steps to set up eclipse.
Do I use the 1.2 Diplomacy Reference files or 1.21 Or is there no difference?
A small difference. Use 1.21 if already available, but it probably won't matter if you have 1.2.
Found it! the reference was placed in a higher spot on the list than I would've looked. ;;
Thank god for this plugin/eclipse
Woot.. got it to work Thanks for the help guys :]
Use 1.21 if you want to clean your mod until 0 errors or warnings. ZombieRus5 has updated it.
Where can I find the updated reference files? Or will I have to make them myself?
you can look in my reference files thread, or use my textbin gui of any of the other methods or even the command line(batch file method).
