1. Same engine, same problems
2. Poor numbers in pre-orders show lack of interest
3. No Steam support will hurt sales prospect
4. More factions increase unbalance in already unbalanced game which may delay launch even further and put a pinch on funding
5. Past patches have been underwhelming; could increase pirating of sequel since players will think the game will never be balanced in a meaningful way
6. Sins is too slow in multiplayer. If multiplayer continues to move at a glacial pace, less reason to buy a legitimate copy of the game
7. Fools like you.
I lol'd.
Your key point is right here:
For all of us who love the work that these guys do and have supported this game since it's early betas many years ago, do us a favor and either buy the game or stop playing it. If you do continue to play it, then by all means then send in your questions and comments to the devs- they do listen

So we have the fool who thinks his trolling will have an impact but is really just a pathetic pirate of the game?
Actually, the lag in online multiplayer has improved dramatically with the most recent patch.
It's difficult to take pre-order numbers seriously since only fools do full-priced pre-orders. Besides, the game is going to (presumably) be marketed to people who have never heard of or played Sins before.
I suspect that people who are interested in the game and who have the ability to use Steam can figure out how to use Impulse.
It's fairly well-balanced. There are pro players out there who specialize in each faction and who can kick your ass regardless of which faction you're playing.
WTF are you talking about? Your average 5v5 only goes for about one hour, thirty minutes.
Like it has in the past? Oh wait, it didn't.
Some people just like to be pessimistic. I am more concerned about the abysmal AI that can hardly handle using and countering things like starbases and mines (i.e. suciding on starbases and Aerias only minelaying), and the quirky diplomacy system, than the OP's nonsense.
Point 4 is kind of weak, considering Loyalist and Rebel is a tech choice for the original factions as it has been described by the dev's cryptic responses.
Rage Much?
Yes
Why didnt yall tell me we are trolling a troll?!?!?! Ive missed all the fun. [e digicons]:'([/e]
