Now that Gamestop is the owner of the Impulse, I kind of lost my interest of having my games on it (I just do not believe that DRM polices will be the same with Gamestop ownership). Do you have plans to move Elemental to STEAM and offer free registration for those who has it through digital purchase on Impulse? Sorry if this has been answered already...
Hehe, what might that be........
Valve buying StarDock? (LOL)
StarDock using Steamworks? (LOL)
I give up, tell me (pretty please )
Stardock Central? I actually liked that platform, even more than Impulse. It had true indie feel.
There are no plans to have War of Magic available on any other platforms other than Impulse except for a future Stardock digital store (for its own stuff).
Don't you mean "Elemental games" as opposed to "War of Magic" specifically? I take it that's what you meant - since War of Magic has already been released. Although you could be referring to WoM specifically.
Best regards,Steven.
I was referring to War of Magic specifically. I don't know what we'll be doing with our future Elemental titles yet.
I am pleased, very pleased to hear about a Stardock digital store. I assumed it was coming. I will be unhappy if you do not put your future games products on your own digital storefront.
One question about said future store: will we have our Stardock game registrations moved to the digital store, so we can download from either there or Impulse, given our preferences? Or, at the very least, given the option to switch our current Stardock game registrations to the future Stardock Digital Store (I think you should keep the SDC name)
While I'm ok with using Impulse, generally I prefer to get my games direct from developer when possible, as to maximize the developer's revenue, as I believe that enhancing the developer's revenue enhances their profitability, which will enhance future game quality . I'd rather see my $50 purchase be $50 of Stardock money, not $35 for Stardock and $15 for Gamestop, as Gamestop didn't make the game. Another reason is your beta patches- I assume they'll come out quicker on the platform you control.
My only concern is wondering how the SDC (term I'll use) versions of future games and any future Impulse integration (which was a strong point of WOM) will intersect. That said, the Impulse integration isn't necessary for WOM or any other current SD game- it's just a nice bonus and a well-done feature.
Well, now that GalCiv II and Sins of a Solar Empire are happily on Steam, and both on my wishlist for repurchase, I was hoping to see Elemental as well. I hope they change their minds and that all Stardock games will be on Steam.
You could consider selling your games on GOG.com. They are planning to sell new games as well.

Press Release (scroll down)
it seem to be going to steam, since all the top title from stardock is going steam
Wait, was steam suggested as a way to avoid intrusive drm? Isn't that a bit like asking a politician to teach your kids about honesty?
That's why GOG.com is a better option: no-DRM-at-all policy.
But with steam, a connection is necessary the first time you run the game, after that offline mode is perfectly acceptable.
Is there any word on the Steam release date yet? Once it comes out there I can get rid of Impulse entirely(already repurchased sins and Gal civ 2)
It be out.
I'm not seeing it on steam.
For which game? GalCiv2 Ultimate edition is out on steam. I think Sins is as well.
Elemental, I have repurchase Sins and GalCiv2 on steam. I was wanting to know if we have an idea when Elemental will be on steam.
Has there been any updates on plans to bring Elemental to Steam
I suspect now we'll see a Steam version evenutally, barring any legal liabilities preventing this.
It won't be until the betas are done, and maybe a time period after that though.
