I bought mount and blade warband this morning at around 10:50 through impulse
12 hours later I am still waiting for an email containing my serial so I can download the game,
I had a nice day planned sitting at my PC playing my new game, The day has gone but I still don't have my game!
For the record the purchase went through (I have the PayPal receipt to prove it, and after checking my bank the money has gone out).
also I have requested my serials from the font page of the support site and the game isn't listed on the email I receive.
Am I missing something? (other than my game?)
If you got a confimation email, then it should be availble through Impulse. If it shows up under the "My Games" tab, select it and right click. Choose "View Registration" from the drop down menu.
In my exprience, if the serial was not need to activate (e.g. Impulse activates it for you upon installation) then it is not included in the email.
I didn't receive a confirmation email from any one other then PayPay.
The Game doesn't appear in impulse or in the my registrations section of this site,
If your PayPal email is different than your Impulse login email then you need to transfer the registration from the PayPal email to your Impulse login.
You can do that here - https://www.stardock.com/support/registrations/
Put your PayPal email in the Source Account and your Impulse email in the Destination Account.
You may need to log out and back in to Impulse after transferring.
Still a no I'm afraid. I use the same email address for both accounts.
Thanks for the help so far, Keep the suggestions coming
bjscuba135, I understand you didn't spend the day enjoying your game.
From your profile, I see you made your purchase from the U.K. Whether done by credit or debit card the transaction will take 48-72 hours to clear, I believe. I believe this is what I've seen in similar cases here in Forums.
Hope you do get to enjoy the game as soon as possible.
Make sure you send an email to sales@stardock.com with the details of your transaction.
Thank you for the response but......
Well thats new!
I have been using impulse for year and never had to wait for a game before. If this is the way of things to come then I will use an alternative electronic distributer in future. It would have been quicker to go into town and buy a physical copy of the game.
I can understand the delay in waiting for funds to be cleared on debit and credit card payments thats the way of the world, but PayPal thats just silly.
Any further information on why this is the case now and never before would be most appreciated.
There's no record of that purchase in the customer database, which means it has not reached the point of a serial being issued. It is likely to be held up in the fraud detection queue (used to ensure that people aren't using your account or card details to buy games and then resell the serials). It's also possible that there's some delay involved with making a PayPal purchase on a weekend from a foreign country - as an app developer I'm afraid I don't know much about that system.
One thing I do know is that third-party products (as opposed to Stardock products) tend to be more carefully examined - once we've sent out a key, there's little we can do practically to retrieve or revoke it and get the money we paid for it back.
We don't have official weekend support, but I'll look to see if there's anyone with access to that system who can push it through. Worst case, it should be dealt with on Monday. Apologies for the delay!
Thanks, GreenReaper.
Huh... well I'm glad it's not just me!
I'm having this exact same problem; same game, order and payment info showing complete but no Stardock e-mail and no game! Opened a support ticket already after waiting overnight and going through the available troubleshooting methods. No dice as of yet. Sucks to have happen on a weekend but hopefully it will get sorted.
I'm showing the game on both of your (bjscuba135 and DeadlyFred) accounts, so the orders must have gone through. If they're not showing up, close Impulse and run the following file:
http://sd.stardock.com/curthendzell/fix_registrations.reg
Make sure to follow the link in Internet Explorer, as other web browsers will not handle the file type correctly. Once you follow the link, save the file and double click it to apply it. Then relaunch Impulse. You will need to re-login with your username/e-mail (either will work) and password.
It is there as of this morning. I wonder what happened? I had already run the registry fix when I was initially troubleshooting. It is funny because I couldn't help myself from snagging Sol Survivor for 80% off and that one showed up right away. Oh well, appreciate the relpy and hope the OP got his problem sorted as well.
