I have installed both OD and OD2 (both paid versions, what you call them, plus?), and now am trying to understand if I can uninstal the first OD withough spoiling anything in my setup. Can I do it? I do not want to looze layouts or icons...

MxM111 - I have both installed. Out of curiosity, why do you feel the need to unintall OD (not the plus)?
Both are plus versions (OD and OD2). I am just not sure if the programs interact correctly - I had recently experienced crash of OD2 (I think, I am not even sure that ONLY OD2 is runing). So, to avoid unwanted possible program interaction (may be startup speed as well) and to recover some space...

You might want to send a email to support@stardock.com It seems to me I remember that when I updated to ObjectDock Plus V2 it was said to not uninstall the older version because the new version will use some of the files.
I could me wrong. Maybe someone will respond that knows.
So, Stardock and/or support people do not check this forum?
I uninstalled OD Plus before installing OD Plus 2 and had no problems. I keep on my PC only programs I really need: Smaller registry, smaller backups, less problems.
They check the "Support" forum sections when they have a free moment from replying to support tickets. I have relocated your post to the Support section for Object Dock.
ObjectDockPlus and ObjectDockPlusv2 share their settings files only. Some changes that you make in one may not be compatible with the other, as much has changed between releases. If you are experiencing issues, I would recommend uninstalling the version you use least. Note that the free version and the plus version don't share settings, as the settings folder names are different.
