I researched the spell of making in my last game, but it said I needed 100 int, to cast it since I was close to just conqering the last two civs in my game I just whent ahead and did so as my sov was no where near that int, is there anything I can do short of lvling a sov to get the int that high?(I like to go for all victory conditions in these games at least once). Also what do I need to research to boost mana I usualy have enugh in my games as I take the trait that gives 2 mana per turn then I seem to get like 5 more but what else can I do to boost it.
Your main Sov doesn't have an Int requirement on any spells, so as long as he is the one casting the spell, you're good to go. On top of that, you need to have access to each of the elemental shards in the game. At least one fire, earth, air and water shard in your control.
As for mana, the trait is a great way to start, but you'll want to snag every shard you can, then upgrade those shards to Greater Shards whenever you can. For the Kingdom, there is Shard Mastery tech after Shard Harvesting, that bumps the shards to Greater Shards, which gives you an additional 1 mana per shard, plus gives you the option to build a Temple of Essence which adds 3 more mana to your pool. You'll have to connect your settlement to the shard itself in order to build the Temple of Essence though, the shard needs to be within your walls. Mathematically, that means each settlement connected to a Greater Shard with a Temple of Essence can produce 6 mana per turn.
As a side note, I think the spell of making is way to easy to pull off... but that might just be because the AI fairly easy to beat and take shards from.
A couple times though I have started with all 4 shards really closeby where I could just snag them without a fight.
Thanks for the explanation guys
