So if only 329 people responded to the poll about a new expansion, does that mean that there are only 329 people who still care? Or do people just not want to respond. Just wondering.
Some of the fans don't visit the main site, others aren't active on the forums altogether. Generally speaking, the forum-going community is a snapshot that isn't representative of the entire community.
I have not voted in it myself and I generally glance at these forums daily. There is likely only a small fraction that come to the forums at all. It would be difficult to figure out how many still play it especially since the vast majority of players are single player only. There is not necessarily drive for them to come to the website at all for a 2+ year old game much less for the few weeks that poll has been up.

People are still playing Sins PvP in online multiplayer ("the real Sins game") but the player counts are lower than what they were a year ago. You can still find 4v4s and 5v5s on the Diplomacy expansion every day. The peak in player counts and activity seems to be during the European evening now (a shift from the North American evening) around 4:00 pm U.S. Eastern Time.
I haven't voted either. I won't either, due to past experiences.
Ok, just curious. I don't play online, so I don't see how many people play. I would assume, though, that all who are going to vote have already voted.
Some lazy people like me have the link to the "forum new post" used for entry point... i bet that few use "home" for entry point...
so is the diplomacy expansion the most popular?
For multiplayer, diplomacy is the main expansion.
I'm new to the game AND expansions.. although if another was released, I'd purchase it!
I'd like to vote but I don't have a vote button to actually do so. So no I think there are a lot more than 329 Sins fans still active who just haven't voted for whatever reason.
Haven't been here for a while, when did DirtySanchezz go full troll?
Anyway, based on the sales figures Ironclad/Stardock said Sins had over its run, less than 1% of players play online. There are many reasons for this that I won't get into here, but for there just isn't much interest in the online community. Which sucks for the modders, as some of them put a lot of effort into things yet only a small handful of people know the mods exist.
It didn't help that Diplomacy was a meh expansion, got a couple small patches and then support disappeared until recently. Made the game really stale for most people. Anyhow, I think most people left don't want to see another micro-expansion. At this point the game needs a full expansion with engine improvements, a new race, and many new units, techs and buildings to inject life back into it; or better yet just start over with a new game.
What the hell are you talking about? When have I ever trolled on the Sins forum?
There was a poll?
Xer0 \^/
Voting is very important, some time many people left that things but this wroing.

Yes, I am left and I can't even get started. I was told on this Forum I couldn't start this game probably because of my Doc Nortons anti-viral package but I just don't believe that. Accept that I have oodles of spec capacity but what I do have is Windows 7 64 bit and I suspect that is the problem for this game.
Have any of the later patches or Mods come out which solve this problem? Does Trinity work on Windows 7?
Live long and prosper.
Err..I have used Trinity on windows 7 and haven't had any issues at all--though now I play via Impulse mostly.
I love online play but I run my own business so most of my play is long solo saved games done over time...Sins is like a board game on a computer. As soon as the new release is out of beta I am going to three area game stores in my own and nearby cities too see about getting regular lan (and online) play going. Which, by-the-way, is a great way to get players online if you live in a larger town and have a real game store near.
I can't block out hours of regular, predictable online play time and I imagine a lot of Sins fans are in the same boat.
This game is a classic--I honestly feel if they would rework Galaxy Forge to be capable of fully modding all the game variables in the gui that this thing would have a surge of fans poor in.
And remember kids, whining is just proof that someone has owned you. Don't do it!
So where can I vote in this poll about Dirty Sanchez being a troll?
