When are we going to get a fix to the towns names changing during gameplay on the overhead display. This has been an issue since release and even though it was minor one compared to many other bugs at release it would be good to know that it might be looked at soon. It becomes very hard to find certain towns when playing on a large map.
Thanks

ran into a new issue today around the year 296ac so I think about 130 years into the game, I cannot proceed to the next turn. It sounds exactly how I wrote it when I hit the end turn button nothing happens. This was going on for quite a few years, but I could save the game, close it out and restart it with no problems like nothing happened at all. Every couple of years I would hit the same problem, but this time no matter how many times I shutdown the game it will not let me end the turn.
There was only four things that were different in this game prior to all other games I have played since release:
Has anyone else ever had this problem? This really sucked because I had half of the map under my influence and was about to eliminate a 3rd faction.
The reason I put down the info on the auto explore and transports was I think it all started happening around the same time. It might not have or it may have been just coincidental.
One possibility, if a caravan goes to a city where there is already a trade route, it stands outside the city and doesnt move till you click on it and sent to another city where no trade route exists. Also all units or hired champs should be safely inside the settlements, if they are standing with nowhere to go the turn doesnt seem to end.
I can honestly say I've not had this issue in many builds of Elemental. Towns stay what I name or are named at the game start, and they update immediately in game. This is of course a fresh game, with a new custom sovereign and custom faction, if they're being used?
I have never had that problem before. I leave hired champs outside guarding all the time and I have even left caravan sitting outside waiting for the next town to be placed. Neither of these have ever caused an issue in the past and they better not cause an issue because if it is than that would be a bug.
You're right about the auto-explore. There is an old bug with auto-explore, particularly with ships (but I seem to hit it occasionally with land units too) where auto-explore will prevent you from being able to end turn. In the past, I have been able to workaround the problem by turning off autoexplore and manually moving the units that were previously set to auto-explore. But definitely stay away from auto-explore on ships. I haven't built ships since version 1.1, so I didn't know prior to this whether or not that was one of the things they fixed.
Yeah it just happened to me again on a medium map this time. I went ahead and made transports with auto explore and I cannot end turns once again. So it had nothing to do with the map size, but it has to do with either the transports or auto explore. The funny thing about this issue is there is no issue at first. It seems to happen after 6 or so rounds after auto explore has been engaged or maybe it is because I will have like 5+ transports on auto explore before it becomes an issue.
I still see this problem as well. Save & reload seems to fix it (until it breaks again) so I wonder if it's related to the occasional problem of characters getting the wrong portraits, which also seems to still happen.
you dont even have to save and reload for the town name changing bug all you have to do is move a unit into or out of the town and it will revert back to itself.
A similar issue occurs when you change the name/portrait of heros under your control. Any duplicate hero's found in game later bug out and appear with your renamed heros info... very glitchy.
I had the same problem in the campaign. So most of the possible reasons do not apply in the campaign!?
I'll try that, thanks!
