The title sais everything.
As a new player online you are constantly insulted by everyone and kicked out of games for no reason.
Its the childish community i have every met online. Best to keep it that way, byebye
yup. Needs a system so a player can ban another player like steam does with there steam id. you would quickly see all those childish assholes disappear.
Find friends to play lan or ip and let the children keep that crap.
I am new 2 and can't get into games... Just add me as a bud I won't be rude lol

Don't let them get to you; it's their problem, not your's.
Well, since i have a busy life i don't know anyone in this game and don't have the time to wait forever for a "normal" game so start. The faster game mode is boring as hell. The one thing i appreciated most in this game is the game speed so you have time to watch your ships fight and so on.
I have enough stress in my life, i want relaxing games without rushing and wild clicking to keep up with the enemy. Thats for the children with no girlfriend, no job, nothing else to do (at least it seems that way when i see people with over 300 games played, i usually play 2-3 in a week).
To bad i never meet you normal guys, but thats how it is.
I'm surprised that you were booted out of games. Normally they can't find enough people to play. It's possible that they thought you were a smurf.
this makes no sense, if you don't even have time to wait for a game how can you play on normal game speed, which is ridiculously long?

no wonder you're getting insulted and booted. your life is allegedly busy and stressful so you can disparage and belittle others on the basis of completely unfounded assumptions, which, even if true, are not a valid reason to do so? it astounds me that you have the audacity to label others "asses" and "children" while exhibiting such childish, arrogant, and hostile behavior.
I did that after they insulted me and kicked me out of games after i waited more then 10, 15 minutes for other players.
That pisses me off and can't you understand that ?
And its a difference to play a game at normal speed or wait half an hour or more (thats when you get kicked out of one game so you have to wait for another one) for one so start in which you can do nothing else.
Smurf sounds about right, and i have no idea what that means.
When i said i have no idea what they want from me i wasn't given an answer, no i was thrown out of the game. Thats the answer these .. individuals have to new players.
Its frustrating but hang in there. There are friendly individuals to play games with out there, it just takes time.
A smurf is a common term in online multiplayer gaming. It's an experienced, often skilled or pro player who creates a new player name so that no one knows who he is. Often times they end up stacking the team they are on. People will smurf for other reasons too, such as being rusty or wanting to try a new race or strategy or even just wanting to be left alone.
People are different if they are anonymous or in publik. Thats very funny. In publik you have to get into them, following the standard values of the scene that you are currently stay in. If they go home and talking to their partners they are real and they say absolut different things that they say in publik. Thats how we are. And the internet is the platform we can be real. But it is a new realistic base that we have to deal with.
I would not ascribe any positive reason to smurf. Primarily it is to stack teams, grief, and act like a jackass online behind the guise of anonymity. You try to defend it because you smurfed yourself quite a bit, sanchez/whip/whatever. If they wanted to try something new or are rusty, who cares? I have lost plenty myself and for stupider reasons than trying something new but you don't see me suffering for the fact that I lost games. Stats obviously do not matter at all as no one cares to accumulate them. Earning a name for one's self doesn't matter much either. If you want to be left alone, play single player and name yourself whatever the hell you like. The fact that you are on multiplayer states that you do NOT want to be left alone. Smurfs don't have to have accountability for their actions due to the anonymity so they do not curb their behavior. They can act like any kind of jackass they like and so they do. It is sad that it affects new players poorly but that has not stopped the smurfs in the slightest.

Well said Greyfox
Maybe I'll make a smurf named, "Small Cajones".
Right on ColeTahn - I've experienced this aswell.
one word answer - anonymity
If people have no idea who you are there is not much incentive to be nice
yep, your right there, unfortunately. ColeTahn, I am happy to play with you, and I assure you, I am NOT an ass. My ICO name is Scilentknight.
ehh... not to be an ass, but.... the thread is preety old.
