So, I was at war with Umber, and a couple of times I talked to him to try to negotiate peace. I noticed that the first time I did, he had about -8000 gildar...then later we spoke again, and he had -14,000 gildar!
How was that happening and shouldn't it have some negative effect on his empire? He was kicking my butt by the way.
idk--I'm not that smart (maybe Heavenfall knows?). I've never seen a negative balance of gildar--let alone one of that amount. It was my understanding--according to the manual--that troops would revolt or go on strike if they didn't get paid. Sounds like a glitch...1.1 is right around the corner anyway
How to tell when you're playing a game too much; someone randomly references your name on the forums (as a source of knowledge), and you see it and reply within the hour.
For players, you'll start losing units after 20 turns without being able to pay them. But for a player, it would be impossible to go from -8000 to -14000 without mods. I'm guessing the AI just isn't fiscally responsible. It's also possible that he somehow created a unit that was worth a loooooooot of gildar. The wages for that unit would be huge.
It might also be a return of the infinite deficit spending bug. Which would explain the AI asskickery, infinite cash will give even the worst AI a leg up.
I've been in the negative before - at that rate - he should have had no army
I've seen the AI be able to draft tons of stacks of Scions and throw them at me endlessly while they go tens of thousands into debt with no penalty. It was the first threat the game posed in a long time, even if it was cheap. I used real cheap tactics to beat them. So over all, it wasn't a real fulfilling fight.
This is just what the AI was doing to me.
Wait, so.. dominance in warfare fueled by runaway military spending and a national debt that's mind-boggling huge yet still increasing every turn? My god, the AI is learning from real life!
hehehe..I was wondering if you'd bite. Hmmm...you either passed or failed depending on your point of view. It was a compliment btw. I am enjoying your mods. Great work!! It also occurred to me that I might be playing too much because....
Now do I eat dinner that she spent all evening cooking or go back to the game......?
This hits close to home. My wife wanted to update Facebook for a while...I tried in vain, to tell her about the sheer magnitude of the 1.1 beta.
So I hit her with a fireball.
YES!!! alas, mine has a bit more mana.....ohoho...the banshee calls!!
lol, this is do true, but the diff in real like if that the Sovereign can talk other Sovereigns into giving him a lone to build his army to kick you but. and give them money back over 30 years or so. LOL
Hahahaha... holy **** dude.. that was a riot!
