I am new to the game. I have a question about how to check up cities/units. The cities/units list on the left margin in the game, when it is full, how can I scroll it? I can't find the scroll bar
Looking for help on line.
Mouseover the bar on the left and use the mouse wheel. It will scroll but it's not really easy to see.
Thank you very much, it really helps.
And by the way, I trained caravans to connet to cities, it appears roads, but kingdom reports "trade = 0", why? I want to know what do they trade? How can I see what they are trading?
Caravans give a food bonus (as a %), so unless you really want a road between two particular cities, always send a Caravan to a food-producing city.
The bonus is larger the farther away the source city is from the destination city.
The farther away the bonus is larger, and how much larger? You know, carvavan is only 1 step walk, I need to know whether the bonus is worthy of the farther away or not.
The trade in the kingdom report is from treaties and such. Caravan bonuses don't show up there.
As for the bonus... it can be substantial. I've reached over 100% bonus on a single caravan which, on a city of a lot of base food production, is enough to sustain itself and then some. Note that the bonus applies to both ends so if you have two cities producing food and connect them, you would get the bonus applied to both cities. As well, a city can have more than one caravan send to it.
Give or take (I can check later), one large map square will probably give you in the 5-20 range. Two will be 40-60. At max zoom (at least for me) from one side of the window to the other, it's 100 to 120.
I am almost certain that the bonus is based on road distance not physical distance so your mileage may vary.
The more you answer the more I want to ask This game really need to be improved on offerring game informations. And dummy AIs
Ask and I'll answer. I suppose at some point, I should write up a city guide to answer questions.
It is spreading trees/flowers automatically in my territory, which make no tiles for the city to build improvements. How to chop the trees/flowers?
Can't
The trees were already there, it is just hard to spot them.
There are some spells that will change the tile. But no Workers, etc.
As someone else said, the trees were already there. You're just seeing them better when the terrain changes to the Kingdom/Empire tile set.
To get rid of forests, research the spell that turns any tile into a mountain, and then use the lower land spell on the same tile.
