Is there a way to change weapons/equipment once combat starts? (Example: From a bow to a sword)
Thanks...
Nope, pissed me off to start because it would make sense for a champion to be able to switch to a bow or sword, but alas, not possible.
too bad, would be just awesome
Yeah, your are a near godlike super power (or you are supposed to be anyway). Guess only a god has the ability to open his backpack during tactical combat or to draw a new weapon from it's sheath. Kinda similar to the way you can raise land from the seas and shatter mountains with your will.... but damn if forests are not a bit too much for you.
funny way of putting it but its quite true lol
I can raise land from the waters, i can destroy mountains, i can do whatever u might think of !! (except cutting some trees or taking a bow from my back if i have something else in my hand already, thats just too much for me )
Another thing to add to the list.
I would rather like that, too: especially in the beginning it would be very useful. First you shoot at the creatures with a bow, and as soon as they're closer, you grab your hammer (from your belt), loose an action point or two in doing so, and then hit them nice and hard...
I also think its kinda funny that, if you forget to summon something or equip something in the Strategic map, you can't do so in the tactical. Not rly an important thing, but certainly on the same level as switching weapons during battle (which would be nice).
I think it is a no-brainer to include this for champions. Also dual wielding. I don't know why but people get crazy excited about dual-wielding.
But what about troops? As it is right now, why bother. Just continue to use your bow from point blank range and avoid the cost of an extra weapon and the risk of counter strikes.
HOWEVER, I think that secondary weapons for normal troops would a great addition as part of the general combat overhauling they are planning. If changes to damage types, ammo for ranged weapons, attacks of oppotunity for breaking engagment etc get into the game, THEN the expense in terms of ingame costs and the programming effort to make weapon switchs possible would be worth it.
Ammo for Ranged weapons sounds nice, but only if its like "per battle" ammo tbh (for instance, the ammo "refills" at the end of each battle, or possibly each Game-turn)
