Is it just me, or is it frustrating for others as well that its so hard to see the number of moves left for units in a given turn? If the actions or enchants tab is selected for the current unit or stack, you can't see the move statistic in vitals. How about providing a number on the summary squares in the left column? Or a number over or near the unit? Or changing the color of the square the unit is on to indicate its moves have finished for the turn? Or simply even turning the turn button red as civilization does when all units have moved for this turn so you know it's time for the next turn?
I support this completely, design flaw that could probably be cleaned up with relative ease (I think...?). I would also love to have right click show you the path instead of moving you, and require a second click to confirm and move. A little click-proofing would be nice, but "moves left" should be visible and easy to see no matter what unit tab you're on.
I'd agree and agree that it'd be nice to have the move preview/confirm type functionality (or option for it).
I'd also like a more ready indicator of war when I hover units. I've had games with 5/7 AIs at war with me and troops/npcs all over, and I can't remember which 5 just declared. Every time I had to consdier whether to slap some AI group senseless I'd have figure out who the heck they were and look at the relations screen to figure out if I should remove them from existence.
Yes this is a problem. One of many UI issues that needs to be corrected.
Yes, or again to use civ4 as an example, right click down shows the path, right click up travels the path. Simply press esc or right click up on the starting square to cancel travel. This would especially be of value since there is no way to predict the path to be taken, and a longer path through forests is often traveled rather than a faster path around them.
