Shortest game I ever had, looked for good place to place city, placed it, then sent my leader to get a nearby goodie hut. Janusk who appeared a turn before that I just haven't recruited just yet came up and destroyed my city...
Just as a word of warning recruitable adventurers etc. can attack your cities if undefended, did a test and placed an undefended city near a neutral researcher wondering around, 3rd turn she destroyed the city.
Janusk does warn you of that. He evens specifically says if you leave it undefended he could find it tempting target.
HAHAHAHA.
I knew there was something about this Janusk character I didn't trust
Janusk got pissed that you didn't recruit her. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned... wait... what do you mean Janusk is a guy? His name sounds like Janice so I just figured... whatever.
Only about half the time they will say its a target (This case he didn't).
I've played many other games after the shortest somewhat comical one, I just put this up as a warning to people who think a city is completely safe in the middle of your lands and not knowing recruitables will go after them too.
Ohhhhhhhh that's why they always say that shit about it being ripe for the taking,. I just though they were creepy
We're on top of THIS!
---- WANTED ----
On the counts of genocide and murder.
Please report any other negative performance to the proper authorities.
And yet if we kill them while wandering around a nice little message pops up that essentially calls us a monster =\ I say strike first, ask questions later...
Or just buy 'em.
You know, I clicked on this thread because I mis-read the title. I thought it said "Jesus killed me."...LoL. Ooops.
Ha! I thought that was just him being helpful, when he tells you that an undefended city is a target. I didn't realize he was having an internal struggle against his hidden, dark nature...
You should know there's something wrong with this guy, since he's already changed his name from Eldmyre to Janusk. He wasn't smart enough to change it in the description text though
lolz at the "wanted" add!
i dunno if this is a bug but whenever janusk hit's level 1 , the ok button is greyed out and i can't go any farther
WHAT? I really really really dislike the name Janusk, it used to be Eldmyre?! Now THAT's a name for a councilor/scribe! Who in the Hell changed that?! I am going to edit it back right now! Thanks guys!!
Haha : )
And yea, 'Eldmyre' sounds a bit better than 'Janusk'. 'Eldmyre' is Firemire, sort of, in Swedish, whilst 'Janusk' sounds like 'snusk' which means filth. Though true, shifty bastard he proved to be in this scenario, so maybe 'filth' is the more fitting name.
That's pretty funny.
I don't think something works right on my machine. It just flat seems to be bugged when it comes to NPCs attacking cities. Mainly, it NEVER ever happens. Not NPC enemy armies (even though they decalre war and attack my armies in the wild) and not wandering heroes. Wandering heroes will say ooo thta city looks ripe for the taking or w/e but then they go piddle around with wolves or fondle themselves in the mountains. I dunno what they're doing. Attacking my cities doesn't seem to be a priority for anything. That may be one of the biggest issues with why the game seems so easy.
I have only played 2 games so far... neither to full completion, it just seemed obvious after the first one where it was going. The second one isn't unfolding much different. I am not stacking medallions or rings or anything funky. Just research conquest, get weapons, armor, and stacks of doom, and I seem to romp over any/everything. I have Janusk, my sov, and my wife who I built up from a lowly 7hp 0/0 adventurer. Now they are all decked out in plate sporting lord hammers and riding horses. I have 10-12 4 unit stacks of something like 100+ hp 80+ attack ~70 def units and I seem to just steamroll everything I see.
In starcraft 1, sometimes the AI would go braindead and you'd get there and it would have a couple buildings, some drones, and nothing else. I'm beginning to wonder if something similar sometimes happens in EWOM. It seems like several of my opponents have done next to nothing at all when I find them.
Anybody notice anything strange about this image that james009D posted?
Anybody??
who the heck is 'Eldmyre'? I thought this was Janusk's history...
Read the thread man
I've yet to have an unhired hero attack my city. They threaten it all the time, but never do.
Also, one more reason to dislike Janusk
Janusk has been attempting to avoid authorities by changing his name and impersonating other people. However, we look right through his deceit and lies. Isn't it obvious?
And to think I spared essence to give him (Janusk /Eldmyre) the channelling power of magic...
i got sick of him in the beta kept killing him whenever he showed up.. turn him off hes rather annoying.
THAT JANUSK! never trust that guy! He's always hanging around my city... being all types of friendly. You have to watch out for those friendly folk, they are trouble.
Next time I will srike him down before he gets the chance.
Yes, he can be disabled in the options menu under "Janusk Advice". However, the free Merchant/Researcher is a pretty nice boost.
