I am trying to play the campaign and I have reached the part where I need to pass some rubble and the campaign log says about getting Lord Markin to send some men to help speed it up, but for the life of me can not figure out how to get him to do it..
You need to visit the wreckage of your ship.
You need to go to the wreckage of your ship (should be near where you started at. just go towards the start point while staing on the side of the mountains you're on now) and get the waterlogged map from it. Take that back to Lord Markin and he'll open the way to Tarth
Thank you so so so much!
And am now stuck again, I have to warn all of the factions and gather their help, i have done all buy Lord Markin, i get there and nothing happens.... is there something special i should do?
Did you move a unit near his city? The tarth city is close enough to shore that just unloading a unit alerts them, but markin is far enough away that you have to do some walking. If you have moved a unit nearby the city and it still doesnt work, try saving, turning the game off, and then loading. After that not sure what else you can try, as I never ran into that issue.
Tried all of that and still no luck, i am going to the right city Isidd?
not sure what it's called in your game, as the names seem to be randomly generated (even though they are all mentioned by the lore's names during the quests) but if that's the city that you went to earlier for markin then yes. The only other thing I can think of would be not having your ships at the beach nearby. If you possibly missed the update that he has few troops to offer but plenty of resources, check the campaign tab in kingdom report section, it should say something along the lines of sail north and reunite your forces.
Moved the boats away and it didn't update the campaign log, checked the log and it is still "warn markin"
Strange, thanks for the help anyway
No problem, like I said, it worked fine for me, so I really have no idea if what I'm suggesting works or not.
Well, not sure about your issue, but I get the feeling last night's patch *did* indeed bork a lot of campaign details. I know a lot of folks like myself now can't get past Procipinee's barricade no matter what we do. Maybe this is related?
I also have the same problem with warning Markin, anyone else had it and solved it in some way?
I got past it. Did you kill the darklings second outpost?
Sorry, maybe we are not speaking of the same thing.
I'm in chapter 7, I'm sending my boat with my troups to warn all the other Kingdoms, and I'm not able to warn Markin, I've downloaded troups, brought them near his town where his queen is, but nothing happens.
My sovereign with his champions is in front of the Enchanted Gateway, waiting for reinforcements from the sea.
I've received before the update saying that Markin has few troops to offer but plenty of resources, but nothing more happened.
Sorry, I don't understand of which second outpost wre you speaking...
Anyway, of course, thanks for trying to help me!
You need to send a sovereign or 'special' guy to trigger the warning... at least that working in my campaign.
Also ... you need to contact all 3 (4?) civilizations to warn them.
I am having the same trouble with the warn Markinn quest too, the other 2 citys not a problem but nothing from Markinn....even tried going their with a different hero. So i'm kinda stuck at this point
Same problem here.
I've posted an help request on another thread.
It seems someone solved the problem reaching the fire shard (the one on the north-western area of the map) with the ship.
I tryed to "contact" lord markin (yellow faction) with every army unit and evry hero I got..... but nothing happens.
Violet (purple?) faction gave me silver swrodsmen and a ship, green faction gave me archers and a second ship.
I'm stuck there.
Restarted the campaign 3 times. Always got the same problem......
I got stucked there as well, but the good news is, you don't need to complete that minor quest with Lord Markin for the overall quest to be completed.
Just land your hero and all its troops on the Shore that's north of New Para, use the cloth map to kind of see where it is, as people have stated you'll see a Fire Shard there. Now you'll also run into that black wall note, the best advice I can give is just keep on treking through, eventually you'll wrap around the mountain, and then come down a path, and you'll see the end boss guy right there waiting for you to be slain.
Hope this helps, or if it made sense, as i know it's tough to explain without screenshots, lol.
I can't get past the barricade to Gilden either. I have the campaign log entry that states she granted me permission to pass the barricade but when I get there I can't click past it on the map.
Same issue here... I went so far as to send my soverign all the way back from the obsidian gate to visit Markinn's spouse, but no dice - no event is triggered in any space adjacent to her or the town.
Tried with the Farmer champion as well.
I should say I am missing the Bard - we was killed in a battle early on in the campaign. If he is the key to completing that particular mission, then I'm sunk as he is no longer available.
If that's not it, then I think there is some quirk or bug with the mission/quest.
It's not the missing bard - i've been there with him. I will try an play on without getting my supplies from Markinn as suggested and see what happens.
Hi there!
I got stuck also! I explored the entire map an killed all monsters. The only place I can't go through is the "Ecnhated Gateway".
I think I tried everything! With my hero I walked nearby every city. Visited every single location and killed every monster. What am I doing wrong??
The Last entry on my campaing's journal is: "The Scholar informs Relias of a book that will allow the writing on the map of the Black Isle he carries with him to be properly translated. If you are to finally understand the intentions of the East, you will need to return to Krandir and obtain the Tome of the Dred'nir."
What should I do now?
Cheers!
You might not be doing anything wrong. I think what actually is happening is that the 2nd settlement people builds actually has a sphere of influence on the Lord Markin city. I figured it out when I looked back at the Campaign Log. Immediately after I got the announcement that I needed to split my forces I also got
"You are now ready to move into position and assist those who fight through the Central Plains. Plot a course towards the enemy forces. You destination has been cleared on the cloth map - it sits to the north of New Pariden."
Since you don't any troops from this city and it only supplies. I believe people don't realize they have actually contacted him.
What do you do if you kill Markinn before clearing the rubble?
can anyone after finding the survivor what should i do?
i mean after the finding of the survivor what should i do?
