Soo..... how is everyone killing the time until the big release? I have BETA 0.98, and so I've a good idea of how awesome Elemental has been shaping up, but I'm really eager for the 1.0v release as the technical side of BETA 0.98 is abit of a hog, plus the pop up prompt describes GUI and feature goodies in 1.0...
Anyway, how are you killing the time? And is there a way to get 1.0 early?
i am playing oblivion with a crap load of mods, of course it would be nice if stardock and bethesda would get with the OBSE mod maker and get it working for the impulse version of oblivion. i wanna use deadly reflexes among others.
Playing Vicky 2, Distant Worlds and Anno 1404 Venice
Oh. Then I must withdraw my comment
"The Guild" I'm refering to is the video series done by Felica Day and a trope of actors - see here
LOL I started watching the guild... "baby, don't worry... you're still my primary questline"
Did the same, wow and those used to be decent graphics.
But the game plays well, forgot not all units can hit fliers lost my first army quickly, DOH~!
Have fun all

Worked on mine, they run a Dos Box with the settings for the game all in order.
So mine on Win 7 64bit 6 CPU 6 Gig system Nvidia 470 ran fine.
Excellent - we have converted another, mwhahahaha!
Wandered down to the local arcade with a friend and threw down $5 each, running through as many of the light-gun games as possible.
Fell mood -> no damned turtle shells -> berserk craftsman -> dead dog -> dead hauler.
Like Haskell, except with beards. And beer.
... all the best games are made by amphibians ...

I am rereading the Landover Series by Terry Brooks.. its been a very long time and a new book is out so I figured why not...
When not breaking things, I've been fleshing out the Wikipedia article on Elemental.
We had a fedral election over hear in .au, so that killed a lot of the time for us.. My self, stright after voteing, I went out to a 12 hour day/night paintball game.. hell yerh!
Just installed Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic (with a megamod whose name I can't recall off the top of my head) and booted up a massive map with only me and a single opponent. Should keep me more than busy until release time.
and that HELLection was the reason I was trying to obtain a copy before saterday so that I could gently de-stress and unwind with 10+ hours of exploring the updated game.
the voting took me an HOUR waiting in a queue before I could vote and only 15 minutes to vote.
TWO hours income lost to blood sucking insects.
bloody pissed off.
harpo
I'm playing Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup.
Theres an ascii version with online functionality, but I'm playing the graphical tiled version. Its pretty awesome and free.
What makes it so playable for me is the auto-explore and auto-pickup features. You just hit o and you run until u see something. Makes it really fast to clear dungeons after you just died and groan at starting again.
Also, loads of sweet races and classes. Stuff like minotaurs who make passive horn attacks, kenku flying bird people, centaurs, draconians, vampires... And if you prefer more classical races theres 3 kinds of elf, 2 kinds of dwarf, etc, etc
My favourite roll is probably Orc Priest of Beogh. As you gain piety through killing NPC orcs have a chance to think you're the orc messiah and permanently join you. Then they'll pick up items and level up as they travel with you. And you can get heaps of them!
You also have a damn nice Smite spell, which is a god power, so you dont need any casting ability.
Another fantastic roll is a robe wearing Merfolk Crusader. That roll has my top score so far.
Also, kenku birdzerker was a laugh. Tremble before my mighty beak!

Linky!
Hencwe why I was so happy to goto paintball.. That can destress anything!
Catching up on Goblins. I started reading this superlative online comic while waiting for the release of Dragon Age. Now I guess I'll finish it while awaiting Elemental.
Ok, I finally gave Master of Magic a try from GOG.com, and I'm impressed. Of course, the graphics are oooold, but I remember Civ (1), so I can withstand them
I've been playing through Oblivion for the second time. Rushed through it when it came out several years ago and never played any of the DLC/Expansion. Enjoying it quite a bit and having fun. My only fear is dropping it to play something new that just came out and never going back to it. Too many games coming out or just came out. (Elemental, Fallout 3: New Las Vegas, Starcraft 2, Vicky 2, Civ 5)
Playing a lot of Victoria II lately, it's awesome! Some bugs, but still good, and with a patch coming it's only going to get better. Highly recommend it, although anyone thinking of buying it might want to wait until after the 1.2 patch. Late game the world economy tends to crumble into dust... and the rebels are monstrous.
