Soo..... how is everyone killing the time until the big release? I have BETA 0.98, and so I've a good idea of how awesome Elemental has been shaping up, but I'm really eager for the 1.0v release as the technical side of BETA 0.98 is abit of a hog, plus the pop up prompt describes GUI and feature goodies in 1.0...
Anyway, how are you killing the time? And is there a way to get 1.0 early?
Well there is life on this world too... Just living my life as always, doing chores.
Gog.com had Master of Magic for sale: $5.99! So I bought it (again).
Old man! You seek the spell of mastery!
I'm currently installing Parallel Desktop with Win7 to see how well it will play Elemental. Wanted to get rid of WinOS, but for Elemental I think I will make an exception
I am playing FrontierVille on Facebook.
Vicky 2 is keeping me occupied. But I don't get a lot of gaming in on the weekend anyway, since the wife keeps me busy.
Working this weekend, but have the whole next week off.......
Interesting site - thanks for the link, alot of blasts from the past their I might dive into! Never played MoM, did play Civ and MoO 2
I hope thats as good as it sounds
Minecraft is a good time vampire.
Got a three day play pass on Onlive for Kane & Lynch 2. That will keep me busy in the meantime.
I've tried that, but I can't get the client from World of Minecraft to work, and as a result, I get too fustratied on the big servers as everyone else can fly around and mass-add blocks, but I can't.
The Alpha single player survival is awesome. I don't even play online. Worth $13 to me. The free client is older I think. Even with the Alpha you get better multiplayer, even though it's a bit wonky still. In Single player survival you have to build a base and get some light or skeletons and creepers and zombies will kill you. Skeletons ride spiders now too.
Age of Empires 3 Complete is half off this weekend on GFWL, so I got that. First time playing it since I demoed it years ago upon release. So far, the game is actually quite awesome. Taking a break now, though, due to a crash to desktop after a 20 minute skirmish that I was almost done with. It really needs an autosave. Might watch The Guild again. That show is awesome! It "almost" makes me want to pick up WoW again... almost.
Though I'm not familiar with 7, you should be able to run it in a compatibility mode.
If not there is a wonderful program called "DosBox" which emulates dos and allows for easy playing of older games. I actually prefer it over using the command prompt in Vista for gaming.
Agreed, The Guild is an awesome series.
Got Commandos 1 from GOG.com works amazing on Win 7 64 bit..
Just dicovered AOW so im going to give that a try.
And Suprisingly the new broswer game Might and Magic heroes Kingdoms, is so addictive im not sure if i will play Elemental any time soon.

If you buy Master of Magic on Gog.com dosbox is included. So you dont have to donwload extra stuff. It works perfectly in Win 7 64 bits

Yeah, that's exactly what I have. They guarantee the games will work on modern systems.
It's ... so good ...
Trying to work, but just keep coming back to this Forum to see if anything new is happening.
Like everyone else can't what to start playing!!!!
Yeah, Playing the Guild 2 a little as well.
I spend my time working.
Keeping a eye on the forums for the first "Its arrivede and installd" thread.
Looking on youtube for any videos showing up.
I'm just doing all the regular chores I'd have to do after release. Paying my bills, end-of-month reports, shopping, showers, that kind of thing.
Yes. But I believe The Guild 2 is somewhat too different in terms of mechanics. That, and the load of bugs/twitches/hiccups make it less "enjoyable" than the first installment in the series. But that's just my personal opinion. I still think that both games are good though.
Well, scanning the forums, apparently.
I am rather curious about the new Impulse distributed game, Star Ruler. Looks interesting; not sure how it matches up to the current king of that hill (in my opinion), Sword of the Stars. Release the 23'rd though; REALLY not helpful.
Neither is Mafia II, which looks verrry nice, but it's released the 27th. (Hopefully we'll see it on Impulse, not sure how the status is there.
Odds are, my time will be spent on Star Trek Online (it's gotten better since release), Disciples III, or Muzzy Lane's Making History II. Interrupted by a movie night with beer tomorrow.
Oh, I should clarify. I'm talking about the web series show called The Guild. There are 3 seasons of 7 minute episodes that have been compiled into 3 "movies". They can be found on netflix or their native youtube. I suggest anyone who likes video games watch the show. Especially those familiar with MMOs. It is.. so true.
Anyway, just figured I'd clarify I haven't actually played the guild series of games. I've been meaning to, but keep getting sucked into these other games. *cough* elemental *cough*
