Someone in lobby chat did not believe me when i said you can play reg with any favor item. He didn't believe me, so i went reg against ub oak and rook and pickd up coin purse. I bought all citadel upgrades besides Giants, got some kills and did not die once. Because of coin purse we had cur II kalels rook had 7k hp and we had giants right as we hit rank 10. Oh and everyone on my team was higher level even though we had no map control for the first 10mins of the game.
On a side note, this is a really good reg build if you aren't facing erebus or da. Would of done more kiting if not for the bad lag.
Sure, you can play Reg with any favor, but if you are going up against a good Snipe Reg without Renewal or HW then you are in a world of pain.

Favor doesn't really affect regulus a bit if you aren't getting wrath or staff renewal.
Agree about winning point. Kalelsm and kingkonne could win this game in 2 vs 3 . Play this reg vs other good players. The match will be harder.

That was my point. He said you can only play reg with a certain favor item, I said you can play reg with any favor item all he does is buy cit upgrades, snipe early and then slow/mines late game. Or did you not read the OP at all?
I mean IF you are proving that you can play reg with any favor(and also you are a pro), play 1v1 and win against at least mid-skilled player.
1v1 is not even close to the same as 3v3...
I'm going to own up to this. I didn't tell him coin purse was per se a bad choice. I came into the lobby bitching about a reg that took BotF in the previous game. Jona's ego led to him saying that Regulus could take any favor item he wanted. I would like to point out that his teammates carried him. If he had gone SoR or even Poison Dagger then we would've drowned long before he bought his weight worth in coin purse savings.

Same thing I said right before that. You're going to have much happier teammates if you go with SoR or Poison Dagger...or even speed for that matter...you know what, maybe it should just be that you'll have happier teammates if you just don't go Reg.
I love poison dagger reg and poison dagger tb. Guilty pleasures.
TB shouldn't have any trouble slowing people down anyway. =]
